Being retired now, we do not have a regular schedule so the 'learning' feature isn't something we will use. We just use it as a programmable thermostat. Works well with our Echo.

Another perk is the energy efficiency - only downside is that the absence setting causes the temperature to rise in the summer over night while you are in the house asleep - so we turned thay off when we are home.

It's not hard or bad. It's supposed to turn off when we leave but I always check the app and it's still on.
