This Nest thermostat was very easy to install after watching a video on YouTube. There are many features that are controlled right from your smartphone.

This creation is the best thing ever! It was easy to install, the online program helped tremendously since we have an older system. The convenience of being able to adjust the heat from my bed is delightful.. you don't realize how convenient it is until you're tucked in your warm bed and the outside air is chilly. Stay in bed, warm up the house, get up tada... heaven! Also being able to warm the home while your out.. what can I say, spoiled and worth it. I love this it!!

Easy set up with enclosed instructions makes it super easy. From there you have many choices to let it learn your preferences or to change the temp from wifi.

I bought this so that I could sync it with my home mini and use an app to adjust my thermostat from around the house. However, I was unaware of all of the additional features! This thing is super intelligent! I specifically love the fact that it can tell when my wife or I am home and adjust the temperature accordingly. It backs the AC use down while we are at work, and kicks it back on when it realizes I am near the house.

The Nest Learning Thermostat was easy to install… The Nest app will walk you through to installed the thermostat.. Changing the temperature is very easy… Love the stainless steel with black background and large screen size…

We bought two weeks ago, very easy to instal just follow the direction. Works great.

I am someone who often remembers they left their AC or Heat set at some high or low setting AFTER I have gotten to work and half the day has passed. The nest has been a perfect solution for this. In addition to having a schedule--which it built itself, more on that later--, the nest offers an "away mode" based on my phone's location, which will automatically turn my AC/heat off, unless the temperature falls outside of a range I have preset. I saw quite an improvement on my first months electric bill! As I mentioned earlier, there is a "learning" mode, that will build a schedule for me. I found this part to be "ok", but by no means a selling point for me. The schedule worked fine on some days, but the nest tried applying one schedule to multiple days which did not work. The result was I had to manually go in and edit a few days by hand, which took as much time as trying to set up the schedule on my own. The Nest App is very intuitive and easy to use. I find it much easier to work through then the nest itself (except when simply turning the dial on the nest to change the temperature). I appreciate having the weather forecast show up on the nest when I walk by, so I don't have to worry about getting my phone or computer out to check; it is even better that it automatically shows me the set temperature when I get even closer to the Nest. I purchased this on Sale, and am extremely satisfied so far; the price seems too high by $50 to $100, but I'm at the same time, I am able to justify it given the savings I will get (both money and environmental!).

So far, we absolutely love our Nest. We're able to adjust the temperature via our Amazon echo dot, which is a neat novelty. Also, being able to turn down the heat from anywhere when we'll be away from the house for awhile unexpectedly is great for cost savings. It tracks the amount of time that the furnace is running, so you can see what your typical consumption is. We like it for sure, and can't wait to get another unit for the upstairs heating zone.

My house was built in 1997 and furnace has only 4 wires, hooked up with granpa style mechanical thermostat. If you already try DIY with some other brand with your 4 wire furnace, I share your pain with G wire situation. This one doesn’t need to modify wire routing or stuff. I don’t know which black magic they use, but this thing works without G wire. (Probably inner battery?)

Easy to control and read. Also, it looks like it will be saving energy. I like the fact that when I travel I can control and monitor the heating and air conditioning from my phone. I had it installed by Best Buy and the technician did a great job. I recommend this item for all these reasons and also looks great.
