This is a compact little device that eliminates the manual job of adjusting the thermostat. The voice command functionality is well-integrated into Google Home, and setting it up is a breeze. The installation of the thermostat might require professional assistance but that's only if you have older wiring in your home. In some cases the device ships uncharged, so you'll have to charge it a bit (using a USB charging cable) before installing it. On the whole, this smart thermostat is well worth the price.

I use the Nest Thermostat to control the heat in a six family apartment house. I do not live there. Works great. My only criticism is that I can’t tell how many hours of heat I’m using in real time, I need to wait 24 hours to find out how long the heats been on.

Love my NEST 3 thermostat. Easy start up but make sure to read the directions. I didn't take a picture of the old wiring. Works great now and seems to be learning after a week.

I got this for my mom who had trouble reading the numbers on her old no-name simple thermostat. She loves it and thinks the app is incredibly easy to use. Also loves motion sensing. The setup was a little strange with our system. Needed to buy a Nest Power Connector but that's because our house has a very strange AC/Heat unit

This device is awesome, it has learnt a schedule from the settings i was manually inputting and now handles the switching on and off of the boiler just like a timer only better,the fact that i can go out and from my phone decrease the temperature and then just before i leave wherever i am crank it back up so when i get home the house is toasty is great the kids and wife love me again!I bought for upstairs and downstairs, the upstairs one is positioned on the landing and acts as a night light for my youngest when he goes to the bathroom because as you walk past it the screen lights up.Still many features on it i have yet to use!

This is the best thermostat out there in terms of performance and design. Looks and feels durable and very easy to use with the Nest app.

This was incredibly easy to install and set up. I can control my comfort level from my phone so I can warm my home or cool my home prior to getting home for maximum comfort.

Bought this because a friend said it had been terrific for him and I could control it from my phone. It was on sale and I was getting a Google Home Mini also, this could be used to change Nest settings too and I thought I'd place it near the bed so it could control temp adjustments at night. BOY AM I GLAD I bought THIS! What a gem! it can change settings if I'm home or away saving me plenty already. My Best Buy guy was able to install in about 30 minutes, and it's pretty. I recommended to another friend who was remodeling and they put in 2 and separated the house into two zones really saving them money!

It is VERY easy to set up. It learns when you are home and when you are not to change your cooling/heating. Love the you want you can manage settings from anywhere,

After purchasing a new home and watching our utility bills rise for a while I vowed to change all of that in 2015. I began to purchase LED light bulbs as a start, new energy efficient appliances, and then September 2015 the Nest 3rd Generation was released which caught my attention. I asked my father-in-law who had the Nest 2nd Generation for information and he had nothing negative to say about it so I was sold. After comparing it to other competitors I was hooked on this one due to the ease of installation, good reviews, and $100 electric company rebate (ask your local energy company).

This is the best thermostat I have ever owned it easy to use and has helped me keep my home temperatures controlled with ease.

12/7/17: I have been chomping at the bit to get a Nest thermostat. I thought I would hold off and let them work out any kinks after the first generation. The black Friday sale pushed me over the threshold and I purchased a gen 3 Nest. After 3 weeks of usage: the install was very easy. I purchased the matte white. My only concern about the color is how it will hold up down the road. Will it fade or tarnish? Remains to be seen. As for the setup. It was also pretty easy. The user interface is very comparable to a smart phone. My wife and I are still trying to build up some history with it so it may learn our habits. I enjoy being able to heat/cool the house before either one of us arrive home. It is handy. The app is also fairly easy to navigate. Thus far I still feel this was a pricey purchase even at the sale price of $199. I guess I was expecting a little more wow from the product. Don't get me wrong, I knew what I was getting on paper. Maybe that is the beauty of its simplicity.

The Nest Learning is a great update from the first generation Nest thermostat I have. It is easier to control. The app is very friendly. I can set up temperature ranges and lock it so kids can't play with it.

Very good thermostat. A little pricey but worth the investment if you like to control your home at ease. The install was easy and from what I understand, this is one of the only smart thermostats that can function properly without a direct power line which is not in most old home's wiring.

Easy to install. Easy to use. Love it! I really like that after just a few days, it picked up on our schedule and self-regulates now. I don't even have to touch it!

Made the switch to a Smart Thermostat and can’t figure out why I waited so long. With a little effort, I now have a warm home whenever I am there, and can control it from literally anywhere via my phone. I don’t have to touch it often, it know my comfort levels and makes changes before I do during my normal routine. Integrated to my Google Assistant AND my IOS. Expensive, but great ROI when you consider comfort important.

This thermostat works great and was easy to install. Very intuitive to help save on energy costs. And I can make sure my dog is comfortable while I’m at work

A must have thermostat. Just so easy to setup and use. I love it and my wife loves it as well. Easy use of lowering the temperature especially living in Miami.
