We wanted a thermostat that we could control home or away. I believe this thermostat has saved us money on our energy bill and I like that it is very easy to change the temperature through our home speaker or cell phones.

I was Leary about spending $200 on a thermostat, but this device is actually worth it. It learned my family's habits and now I barely have to touch it. I check from work to see what temp it is and it's almost always what I normally set it at. I'd buy another in a heartbeat.

I love this thermostat. It lets me control it from anywhere. The scheduling is nice as well, but someone is always home at my house all day so it doesn’t do me much good to be energy efficient in that manner. If you love new tech, I highly recommend this!

I thought that this was a good purchase for my family as it does show us monthly summary reports on energy saved of "Leafs" earned. Also, I was very impressed with how simple the install was. I have since purchased other NEST products to have them all connect.

For years I've resisted buying a smart thermostat even though I am an early adopter. Last summer came home to a very hot house and it took hours to cool down. Bought this and within 15 minutes was using my phone to turn on AC via remote.

Makes it so easy to just set it and forget it. I don't know how many times I left my heater or air on when I left for work and came home to a house that's been unoccupied for 12 hours racking up the bill. No more! Thanks Nest

This is really cool to use. It detects when you are near and wakes up to show you the temperature. Easy to use. Especially if your fat as* is in bed and can control right from your phone.

I purchased a nest thermostat. The product was faulty out of the box. I spent $80 for a certified tech to diagnose that my HVAC was perfect but that the nest product backplate was faulty. (The tech also stated this is a common problem with nest). I called nest customer service and the tech was condescending on teaching me how corporations regulations work and he could do nothing. I had all the paperwork to email to him but he insisted he could do nothing. I then explained I'd leave a review on the product and how he handled it by not reaching a compromise of some sort. I will be returning the 2nd nest product I had to purchase. All in all, I'm sure the product works great when it works but I hope you never need to use the customer service. The tech Mike was VERY unhelpful and even asked me if I worked for a company and I understood my regulations at work. What a rude guy. I told him I hoped that his company was recording this conversation. I'm sure they'll be talking to him on how the real world operates. #clueless. I will be posting this unfortunate experience on other websites as well. Hope this helps you decide what product is best for you.

I replaced my old thermostat with the Nest. I'm not a very handy person but was able to follow the instructions easy enough to set it up. The Nest does a good job of remembering what temperatures you use at different times of day. But if temperatures fluctuate, then you have to adjust anyway. The biggest disadvantage for me is not being able to run the furnace fan by itself. The app is great for keeping an eye on temperatures when your away, and adjusting it while away. Overall I like it, and am on track to receive the incentive that should help reduce it's initial cost.

I love how I can lock the thermostat from my phone so ppl cnt change the temp I set. Also it was easy to install and easy to use

Works great and makes your home look luxurious. I have a two story home and buying two units is quite costly but it helped my AC system

Terrific thermostat! Very simple and convenient. Looking forward to it saving me hundreds of dollars on my future bills. Next App seems very easy to control from the phone. So far so good!

After doing everything both the website and directions told me to do multiple times, the system just wasn’t compatible with my heating system even thought it said it was. I do not knock the Nest itself, just wasn’t compatible for me. Would have loved if it was.

Nice to keep up with the settings from my phone. Especially during the ice storm.

This thermostat has saved us so much on our electric bill. The best thing about it is that it knows when you aren't home. I love it! You can also adjust it from your phone when you are away. Came in handy when I was out of state and forgot to change the program.

We were looking for the best and found it ! Don't waste your time purchasing anything else. The nest thermostat is amazing, we love it and it's already saving us money on our electric bill. Easy to install and easy to use, great app. Well worth the price.

I had the Ecobee at my last place. In comparison, I’d say they are on par, with the Nest with a slight edge. I’d personally get whichever one is cheaper at the time of purchase.

I have bought these for each of the homes that I have owned and it is absolutely flawless! I love the ability to control away from home and even while lying in bed. It even reduced my utility bills by at least 25%.

I changed out a different nest for this design because of the ease of use.
