Sometimes developers are out of touch with reality and live in a closet. This is a great Thermostat with some great features and one annoying flaw. There have been 3 generations and countless software updates, but for some reason they refuse to add a real temperature Hold feature. The only way to "Hold" the temperature if you set up you own schedule is delete your manual schedule. The auto feature is good if you have a routine but if your schedule varies from week to week, or month to month the manual setup is better. If I have people over and they are going in and out of the house I want to set the A/C at a higher setting so my A/C is not constantly running. If you set a new temp it will change at the next scheduled temperature time. The room sensors are also great however you can not adjust the time windows for morning , midday, and Night. I've owned this product (1st and 2nd Gen) for 7 years the Purchase date is the most recent purchase the 3rd gen which incorporates the Sensors.

Great color, excellent thermostat that is easy to use via the app and physically by twisting the dial. Setup was easy and has been reliable so far.

Took about 5 minutes to install. Put the app on my phone and away I went. Very simple to use. I'm a big fan so far. I also love changing the heat from my bed using my phone, instead of having to go to the hallway.

Works exactly as advertised. Had hard time figuring the wire diagram online, but its due to not knowing the correct AC unit specifications. After finding out and following the online schematic, it work perfectly.

The ability to control my thermostat from my phone and away from home is gamechanging! No more worrying about overworking the HVAC system. Perfect for the environmentally conciencius and money saver over the long term!

Great Thermostat. This is my second of this generation not a replacement just in addition too. Great to be able to control the upstairs thermostat from little prying hands that want to see how cold they can make it.

I'm not the handiest person, but was still able to understand the install. I have been using the thermostat for a month now and would definitely recommend it. App is great and I know it's saving me money which is the best.

It is the only way to keep a house cool or heated must buy

I love this learning thermostat! 3 days after installed, it was already scheduling the temperatures as per our preference. It has a very nice look also.

Great Thermostat - easy hookup. Efficient with Eco setting

I am very happy with the Nest systems, but there are some flaws and that is why I cannot give it 5 stars. First, if not connected by the C-wire which is very important because otherwise you will need to change batteries and something else as I was told by the installers from best buy and they do not do that. You must get an H-Vac person to do that install which is why we went with the google nest not the ecobee which is only c-wire connected. The way to put the password is also very difficult if you have hands that don't work well, luckily I have 20 somethings with good hands and eyesight. The first generation does not work well with this one, so I will be changing them out to go together again. UGH, but the wires are there thankfully now. I do like the system as it has learned what we like i and t is wonderful.

This thermostat is the best purchase I have done in a long time. You can control and change the temp from your smart phone with option to lock it so nobody can make changes unless a pin is inserted.

We installed it in our computer room and it works like it expected. It now give us a good remote view of what happen to the computer room (temp and humidity). Very nice! It took us about 20 mins to installed it.

This was an easy installation within the product itself. The actual product software install, some of the questions were a bit confusing. If you don’t know your AC specs it will be a bit tough.

The setup was very easy. It took all of 20 minutes from beginning to end. I slept better than I have in a while. I got the sensors too. Still working on how to have them benefit me, but I'm sure they will.
