Love the fact I can change the temperature in my house, even when I am out of town.

The Nest system leaves me "hot and bothered", because while it does remember what temp I like in the home during the day and night, it is hard to make it different as it doesn't like to stay at a particular degree continuously. Otherwise, its easy to use and fun to play tricks on family members from outside the home.

This product is simply amazing. After a rebate from Energy Trust, it was even cheaper than purchase price! (check locally for rebates and save your receipt) I can now set my furnace to turn on when I am on the way home via Google, use voice control via Google, turn the fan on from the couch, and much more. The one tricky feature is Auto-Away - it will still run your program even if you are not there. I realized this early on, and all you need to do is set Away from your phone or thermostat and it will stay off. I have saved a bunch on natural gas, electricity, and energy not thinking about if I left it on or not, or getting out of bed on the weekends to warm the house up. This item is for everyone, a must buy!

Has worked as advertised. Very nice option to set thermostat when away on vacation.

Works fine, easy to install and set up. This was a replacement unit since you cannot buy replacement parts for it and google customer service was not helpful.

Ordered 2 for our home. My husband manually sets the temp every morning and evening and sometimes in the middle of the night. Now he doesn't have to get out if bed. Has changed his world.

The Nest App was easy to set up as was the Nest Thermostat. Works very well so far and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to control their household temperature when you are not home.

Hello and good evening. I just flew here and boy are my arms tired. Anywho, this nest is a thermostat. I know right! It controls the temperature in your home, bang! That’s it.

I have a heat pump and this thermostat very smartly balances condenser operation with fan operation to save energy. It also learns our preferences and helps us save money!

I am really interested to see how our energy bills change over the next year. The Nest is incredibly easy to use and install. I don’t see why everyone doesn’t have one.

Best learning thermostat out there. Way better than ecobee or any other offerings out there

While the Nest does it's job, there's a lot you have to do if you don't want it to "learn". Once that's done you can set preferred temps at various times during the day and it will stick to that. If you want to use the external sensor, you're limited. You cannot specify specific times that you want the sensor to be active, only generic preset times. I have an ecobee that I brought from my old place and I much preferred the way the system worked but the hardware doesn't work properly with my current hvac and recent software has made it slightly less user friendly as they incorporate their other products and subscriptions. Lastly, I use homekit which ecobee supports but Nest doesn't There are workarounds but they're not the most elegant or stable.

Very easy to install. worked right from the start. I like that it has a history so you can see everyday if your unit is on and for how long. What was even better I got a $125 rebate from the power company.
