The Nest is an awesome product. I enjoy the ease of using the Nest. I like that I can change the temp in my home whether I'm home or away. If I'm home and feeling too chilled i can raise the temperature in my home by using my phone. When I'm away from my home I can raise the temperature from wherever I am even if it's from another state. This is a great buy.

Purchased this unit before Christmas and had it installed and set up in 20 minutes (including painting wall where old square unit was). Once connected to the network, it automatically went out and checked for an update before setting it up. Really enjoy the phone app and being able to see what utility usage has been. Setting a schedule can be done by it learning your expectations or by going into the app and setting it yourself. It really does track your movement within the home and found I needed to adjust the schedule as the Holiday comings and goings are different than other times of the year. Great product and have had no issues with our unit thus far.

Install directions were easy to follow. Works well with remote sensors. The home eco settings caught us off guard. It was sent to one phone and when that person was out of town, the air went into eco setting which was default set for 80 degrees. Once we figured out the problem and set the "Away" setting, problem solved. We love the nest so much, we bought one for the upstairs units too. It's really nice to be able to adjust the setting before getting home so the house is at a nice temperature. We are seeing a saving on our electric bill.

12/7/17: I have been chomping at the bit to get a Nest thermostat. I thought I would hold off and let them work out any kinks after the first generation. The black Friday sale pushed me over the threshold and I purchased a gen 3 Nest. After 3 weeks of usage: the install was very easy. I purchased the matte white. My only concern about the color is how it will hold up down the road. Will it fade or tarnish? Remains to be seen. As for the setup. It was also pretty easy. The user interface is very comparable to a smart phone. My wife and I are still trying to build up some history with it so it may learn our habits. I enjoy being able to heat/cool the house before either one of us arrive home. It is handy. The app is also fairly easy to navigate. Thus far I still feel this was a pricey purchase even at the sale price of $199. I guess I was expecting a little more wow from the product. Don't get me wrong, I knew what I was getting on paper. Maybe that is the beauty of its simplicity.

I have been wanting to get this thermostat for quite some time. Now that I have it I could not be happier with it. Installation was a breeze. I love being able to control the temp from anywhere in the house. I haven't used it long enough, and the weather has been too nice for me to truly notice the energy savings that should happen, so I can't comment on that yet. Florida summers can be brutal and expensive, so I am hoping that I will see some savings by upgrading to this.

So far, so good! We have noticed less stress on our HVAC, since this seems to regulate the system more efficiently. Installation was easy and took 10 minutes with a screw driver and the included parts/instructions. I would definitely make sure Nest is compatible with your home wiring prior to purchasing. The included backing covers up the old unpainted wall that the previous thermostat left exposed. The aesthetics are much more appealing than our old thermostat. All controls are simple and the screen is easy to see in light or dark. I am eager to see how much this will save on our heating/cooling bills.

Im loving it, specially being able to control it away from home. Its easy to use and easy to install, the one downside is the eco option. It might be that my device is still learning, but it keeps adjusting to temps that i dont want. I do like the away feature and at home. Specially when it detects that im home, but it wont keep it to the settings i want. The suggested settings keeps over writting my suggested settings. Other then that, it works great

The nest works great, especially when you want it to cool your house before you get there. It learns pretty fast. Works decently with Amazon's Echo. Simple setup and easy to use.

Everyone should have a Nest thermostat. So easy to install and easy to use. I like being able to control it even when I am away. I also like seeing my monthly usage.

Installed 15 of these in a 30,000 sq ft building to control temperatures remotely and lock the temperature without installing cages over each thermostat. Nest supports up to 20 devices on one account. Install and setup was simple. Not all 15 rooftop units were the same, but the thermostat works well with all of them. So far, the units went from running ~8 hours per day with a single set temperature to only running ~ 3 hours per day. Big energy savings. The lock feature prevents people from changing the temperature and pressing hold which was causing the AC to run unnecessarily.

These thermostats are easy to install and very easy to use. Very convenient to change settings when away from home.

Who doesn’t enjoy another smart home toy. This is fabulous if you want to set the temperature before you arrive home or if you like to have the heat or air be triggered by movement. I installed this myself with absolutely no problem at all, so don’t fear removing your old one and replacing with this, unless your old one has additional features like a humidifier option, then I’d recommend researching the compatibility.

I bought this because there was a rebate going on from GA Power. I had already been looking to replace my 15 year old digital thermostats and the rebates pushed me to going ahead and doing it sooner than later. Enough about the process.. I bought two and have to say that these have exceeded my expectation. They look AND work great, I can control them remotely and track how often your heat/cooling runs. While I've only had these for a month, I can't necessarily say they've saved me money, but the temperature in the house stays much more consistent than when my old thermostats were in control. Installation and setup were easy.

This is my first time owning a smart thermostat and have only had it for a few months now, but in that time it has worked great. It works just like it says, it has my habits down. I really like being able to control it with an app as well. It was extremely easy to install. I have never installed a thermostat before or really anything like this and even for me it was simple. I did take photos before I started because the stickers they give do fall off and did fall off for me after about 5 seconds of trying to maneuver them into the nest teeth. Overall, really good product.
