We have a house built in 1949. We have an oil burner with water baseboard heat. It took some tinkering with but we got it to work. Our old thermostat was no longer working properly and even though it was digital the heat was way off. Since we have had this, we love the convince of making it warmer and cooler. We use alexa to raise and low the temp, and have it set to turn down the heat when we tell alexa good night (she turns off all the lights). At first when we first started using it we thought the boiler was turning on more often, but it seems to be running for a shorter time. I went to check my oil tank to see if we needed a delivery, but we are at half a tank! Great! Not only that but we got a $100.00 rebate from pseg!

Nest works great. I learns your temp and than auto programs it for you. The nice part is my energy company gives me a rebate for using Nest Therm. My advise before going out to buy one check with your energy company and see if you can get any type of rebates for it.

Very easy pickup process and great Product. I am way more than impressed with the ease of use and the simplicity of the design.

Works great easy to follow and understand instruction. After the first week and the unit learns your movement it works really grat

This is my 2nd Nest thermostat and I can't imagine having a home without one of these installed. I am glad I used the wiring compatability verification step (on the Nest web site) in advance, because I learned that my new home required this Next Learning thermostat (rather the less expensive model). Then, during installation, when I wasn't completely certain of the wiring lettering / labels, I contacted Nest customer support and they were prompt, helpful and accurate. My Nest thermostat was working within 30 minutes of un-boxing. The complete temperature control this product provides (from anywhere in the world) has already been put to good use. I will continue to recommend this product.

The nest works great and I love the remote capabilities. I left for a long vacation and was i was able to monitor my homes temperature . When I was ready to go home i could set the temperature so the house would be warm upon my arrival. Before I had the Nest the house was either too warm or too cold.

Make use of the AEP rebate and this is well worth it. This is far and above the easiest thermostat to install I have encountered. No instructions were included, a simple QR code and some moments to get your bearings and you're on your way! The ordering of the wall plate and what screws to use is important, so I would not try and guess how to go about it. The nicest feature of this is when it is setting up and has been, it takes into account the wiring you have available and once wired at any given time will show you the active connections. The 3rd gen uses USB micro to charge and does *not* come with a cable FYI. Other than that, this thermostat is pretty standard in all homes. AEP offers a rebate at any given time because they want everyone to have one!

With its sleek design and easy to use functions, our thermostat purchase was the right thing! We easily installed it ourselves, and we love all the capabilities it has and it has already learned our patterns and is saving us money! We love how it connects with other products like our echo!

By far one of the best investments for your home,!!! Very easy installation and setup by both keeping your house either warm or cool when needed and making sure not to use as energy when you're not home. I leave mine set at 70° during the winter when I am home as soon as I leave the temperature drops to 60° and then by the time I even get back home it is back at 70 nice and cozy not to mention both of my utility companies have given me rebates because the thermostat will use less energy during peak hours this is a must get well worth the cost

So this thermostat is the first one I’ve ever installed/replaced. It was very easy to do and I labeled my wires with the provided stickers. Literally walks you through everything step by step once it’s on. There’s not much else to say about the install itself. This device looks very nice! Has a big/bright display, has tons of options and settings depending on your needs and temperature habits. I’m actually very impressed with the unit itself. I’m used to either older digital models or the ones filled with mercury. So this is like looking into the future. I have not downloaded the app because currently I still prefer manually turning the dial. Which is fun to do nonetheless. There are settings galore and I do think the nest would be useful to many households. It is also supposed to help save money over time, not overnight. Calculate the costs and find how many months or years it takes to pay for itself. Anything saved after that is dollars in your pocket. My complaint would be to add a single temperature sensor in the box, without spending the extra money on the upgraded package. It does have one built into it, but honestly how many homes have the thermostat in an odd spot? In an area that isn’t used often or doesn’t get enough airflow for accurate temps? Other than that I’m very happy with my nest purchase, it looks sleek and offers many settings for every temperature need I’ll ever have. Have a bright future and smart home!

I love our nest thermostats! They are a great upgrade to any home. It learned our schedule after just a few days. I love being able to adjust the temp from the comfort of the couch with the Nest app too! Also being able to remotely pre-heat the house on my way home from work is a great feature too!

Amazing! It remembers my temperature settings for the week and repeats them. It knows when I’m not at home and goes into Eco mode. When I start to return home I set my return temperature from my iPhone and my house is toasty warm when I arrive home. Truly amazing. No glitches.

Works well and the app is nice. Only problem is it has a long delay to turn on heat/cool but otherwise works well. Sensors help regulate room temps also.

There are a number of steps to install, make sure you determine the wiring will work. Once I did several app steps on my phone I had some learning on my part, it works great. Control remotely. You can tell it to warm up or cool off when it knows you are gone or heading back.

This thermostat has been a lifesaver. Too many times we have left the house without turning off the AC, but that all stopped, when we purchased the learning thermostat. It has also learned our routines in a matter of weeks, so we don’t have to adjust it near as often as we previously did. Also, the ease of using a phone or Google Home to adjust it from wherever you are cannot be beat. It has already diagnosed issues with our unit, that would have gone unnoticed and eventually costed us more in money to fix over time. We have already saved the cost of the item itself, in a little more than a month’s time. It is very easy to install and setup. Mine only took twenty minutes. It is a must have for smart homeowners.

I purchased this for my home (use as the upstairs thermostat). Installation was relatively easy. The unit even has a built in level so you know that it is being mounted correctly. Works well, easy to access via the internet and the android app, and integrated easily with my amazon alexa.

I like this thermostat, as it looks cool and functions well. The only drawback is the lack of an easy to use HOLD feature. My previous ecobee allowed me to HOLD a particular temperature for 2 hours, 4 hours, until the next setting of the day, or indefinitely. This was an excellent feature that was helpful when I had guests who preferred a cooler temperature in my home. I wish NEST would implement a similar feature.

Its super easy to install and use. The app control is nice though there's issues setting programs and having more than one appear. Could be related to experimenting with the eco mode, which doesn't do anything really for us.

The nest is probably the BEST thermostat out there for saving money and easy to use. It learns your schedule, you can adjust the temp even when you not home. So if no one is home. Why have your AC/heater running. I love it, been having it for 3 months and no complaints what's so ever.

This thermostat is so cool and simple to use. Also, the fact that you can control the temperature from your phone is… “PRICELESS.”
