I have a 4-wire connection to my furnace. The 3rd gen of Nest Learning Thermostat will enable 4-wire connection (missing C wire) with no issue at all. You don't need the wire converter to connect to your furnace. Easy to DIY (i spent times watching multiple youtube videos on how to) and it is very easy to install as long as you know how to "switch the circuit off before you do it". Switch off at the circuit breaker panel or the furnace switch on/off.

This thermostat works great very versatile and easy to use. It was quick to install, looks nice on the wall. I would definitely purchase Nest Thermastats again.

My upstairs and downstairs have different A/C units. The upstairs thermostat is in a loft. This means the temp near that thermostat is regulated by both the upstairs and downstairs units. If the downstairs is running it will cool the loft somewhat. The result is that the upstairs bedrooms can end up with temperatures vastly different than the loft especially if the doors are shut. This thermostat allowed the hook up of a wireless, battery powered temp sensor. This small puck can sit on a shelf in a bedroom and the thermostat can be configured to use it for temp sensing. No more freezing cold or blazing hot bedrooms!! This thing is easy to use, programmable, adjustable from your phone, will remind you to change your filters … on and on. It can be set to go into eco mode if you are away, it can learn your routines, it can help save you money, it looks pretty cool and nstall was a breeze. I have this and the Nest E and love them both. If you want to feel like you are in the future then check this thermostat out!

My dad was in HVAC so we have owned programmable thermostats for decades but this takes it to a whole new level. We had a little bit of a slow start because the heating company that installed our furnace did not know how to help us pair it with our Alexa. The Nest support team was great at working with us and got us up and running. The eco setting is great when we leave home and when we are on our way home we can get the house to the temp we need it to be when we get home from hundreds of miles away. No more calling on neighbors to come in and make adjustments we can do it from our phone app.

We're really happy with our Nest thermostat. It was easy to install and works beautifully either at the unit or from my phone. Easier to set and operate than any other thermostat I've ever had -- and helps us be much more efficient with our energy consumption.

AND show you new wiring scheme. Saves old one in case you move and take NEST with you. 30 minute install including wifi search and programming. Includes level in base. Also base plate if nest doesn't cover current spot. App allows you to control from ANYWHERE. across town or across country. BUY THIS!

Bought one kore of these…this time for the third floor and they are still just as good and as easy to install as before! Clean look, super easy app install and all connected seamlessly. Couldnt ask for anything better.

Everyone should have a Nest thermostat. So easy to install and easy to use. I like being able to control it even when I am away. I also like seeing my monthly usage.

I have a four zone vertical system and bought 3 of these Smart Thermostats (left the existing one in the basement for now). These thermostats were extremely easy to install and jumped right onto the house network and my google online system, where I have 2 other Nest cameras. The app works seamlessly. With routine manual adjustments of the temp on the app and/or thermostats, the three floor system appears to be learning and may even be anticipating when to ramp cooler or go to "eco". So far so good!

We recently sold and purchased a new home where the purchasers of our home wanted our old Nest Learning Thermostat. We purchased this for our new home and in white. The matte white is sleek and ties in really well with the other colors throughout our house. Setup as always is incredibly easy and user friendly as well. We very much enjoy the Nest and the cost savings that come with it too!

At first I was skeptical because not a lot of people have the nest thermostat. Once it was installed and I got the hang of how it worked, I really started to like it. First, it’s so modern and just prettier than an old thermostat, and second, it’s so efficient for keeping my house at the right temperature while also saving me some money each month. My favorite part though is I can control my house thermostat while I’m on vacation or anywhere because of the app. Overall, I love this device.

Easy to install. Works very well. Learns well and is very customizable. Easy to read settings/current temp indoor and outdoor. Can be controlled from thermostat or from app. I'm VERY pleased with my purchase. Based on the improvement over my previous thermostats, I expect significant energy savings. My only issue is with the price. I was able to get them on sale, but the retail price is too high, in my opinion.

Google has developed a great thermostat! It was easy to install, easy to link to WIFI and very easy to use.

We recently switched over to the Nest Learning Smart WiFi Thermostats. We like the ease of use, the look, how easily we can see and change the temperature, and how quickly it responds.

Very easy to set up ! Very accessible - using my phone or Alexa I can turn the temperature up or down - and more. Nice Innovative design !

I bought this thermostat in white for my new home. Easy to install and looks great. Worked seemlessly with my iPhone and Google home.

This was super easy to set up and install. I thought the instructions we very clear and I didn't have any issues. The temperature throughout the house appears to be very consistent as we even have a larger room that is all windows. My family is constantly running in and out of the house and it is great for our busy life style. I think the look of the Thermostat is very sleek. Overall, I would 100% recommend this thermostat. The ease, efficiency, and look of the product has earned a 5 star from my family.

Simple install and great functionality, especially with the Nest app. Looks so much cleaner than my old Honeywell thermostat. I have a heat only system with just a red and white wire, and I have have no issues with the thermostat operating without the c-wire. My heat has been on though the whole time since I purchased the thermostat. I may add a c-wire that can plug into an outlet when I turn the heat off in the Spring/Summer
