The thermostat works as promised and adds a little tech appeal to my living room. I’ve only been using it for a month now but it has started to learn my personal living habits and adjust itself appropriately.

Bought this since my children each have one. Replaced an older programmable (not connected) thermostat. If you want to protect your privacy by restricting location, you must manually set the "home" and "away". This thermostat "learns" by looking for patterns in your home-away designation. It also has recommendations for energy efficiency. If you have regular patterns, this will effectively adjust your temps. There have been minor reports regarding loss of memory and function, however these seem to have been addressed through firmware updates. The controls are problematic if your Internet connection is dicey. Thus a strong wired primary with a wireless repeat connectivity is a must. Thermostat can be controlled manually at the wall in the event of loss of Internet, but remote operation is absolutely reliant of connectivity. This is a problem with all IoT. This can be wired to furnace/AC via a four or a five wire connection. Some thermostats require a five wire connection and many existing furnace hook-ups do not have them. Check the wires before purchase. Spent more time spackling/painting wall than installing since even with optional faceplate there was still uncovered surface. Installation w/o faceplate a more modern, pleasing look. Recognizes when you are in motion, so if themo is installed in an area where humans do not roam...

Easy to replace old thermostat with the nest. I like making sure i have the house is cooled down after working outside in this humid weather. Going to buy another for the other zone in house

This thermostat has the look I was wanting in a smart thermostat and is easy to use. Check to see if your local power conpany is offering a rebate. Pick this up while it’s on sale for you and a relative or friend.

My wife and I love the Nest Thermostats. Not having to turn up and down the heat during the winter has been a treat. Once the thermostat learns you're behaviors it's amazing not having to ever touch them again.

When 1st installed the nest Thermostat the temperature reading was 3-4 degrees off from every other thermostat/thermometer I had. I called Nest for assistance. The initial tech verified all the wiring was correct then referred me to tier 2. This tech verified all the settings in the thermostat and when he found nothing wrong there suggested we reset the thermostat and start over from scratch. Once we performed the reset and reprogrammed it the thermostat started reading within 1/2 degree of the thermometer I had hanging on wall next to the Nest. Both Technicians were very professional and helpful. The thermostat has been working flawlessly since. I love the way it learns the temperatures we want during the day and adjusts temp when we are gone for long periods of time

This smart nest thermostat it looks elegant on your wall and is very convenient. You can manage so many things in it and you can control it from your phone. I recommend it.

Love it, not complicated. It learns your schedule! Setup notes are the best I have ever seen, anyone can do it if your comfortable using a smart phone.

This thing is so easy to use and install. You really don't even need a "NEST PRO" to install it. I've never even cared about thermostats, as long as I am comfortable. You just slide the color coded wires into the correct slot and fire it up. Just make sure you turn off the power to the cooling and heating systems first before starting the installation process. The whole installation should only take 20 minutes. You will save so much money with rebates and more efficient power use. Please buy it! P.S. my house is a lot more comfy now especially since I can control my heat with my phone.

The Nest Thermostat is fantastic! I installed it myself, super easy. The nest is my first step to Home automation. This smart thermostat is amazing. The Nest app allows me to control the nest from anywhere. This is a must buy!

Very smart looking, no pun intended, thermostat. I installed it myself in about 20 minutes. The thermostat has been functioning fine and the house seems to have a more even temperature. Very easy to use.

The options on the thermostat are useful and very easy to follow. The installation was also easy. Helps save a lot of energy, especially when you're not home in the daytime.

I purchased this and it has been really useful, we were able to monitor the usage of the AC, control during vacation, and even adjust the temperature when my in-laws were visiting while I wasn't home. I was so easy to install.

Installation can be confusing if you don't already know what you're doing. Nest has a video online that shows you but even still you might have some differences between your old one and this one that could make things less obvious. I was able to figure it out though. At first, I thought I screwed up because my Nest shut off for a few minutes. I couldn't figure out how to turn it back on or why it turned off but eventually it came back on and it's been fine since. As far as design and features, it's exactly what it's supposed to be. It has a bunch of things you can adjust in the settings. It does the best it can at saving energy. The best thing I can say is that it's worth buying if you want something more than a standard thermostat.

Had a brand new 'smart' Honeywell that I could not stand. Within 2 weeks I had it removed and replaced with this wonderful device. OMG I absolutely love this thing! It took about 2 solid weeks for it to learn my routine and it seriously learned it! It goes to 78 when I leave (what I set it at when I'm away) and at some point before I get home it drops to 74 (which is what I like it to be at when I'm home). Then around bedtime it drops to 72 (my sleeping temp). And I can control it anytime, from anywhere, on my phone. I also love that it works with Alexa!
