Installation and setup could not be any easier. I have an older home but the wiring instructions made it a breeze. Setup was very simple and the unit has basically just taken charge of everything since we set the temperature ranges we wanted. I like the monthly energy reports that I get and the fact that I was able to connect this to both my Logitech Harmony remote and my Amazon Echo. Great product.

Pros: 1. Easy to install (don't follow the schematics in the paper instruction. Use the NEST website for the correct wiring. 2. Cool design and operation (love the turn knob) 3. App on iphone works with no issue. Like the Usage history and why energy consumption is high on that day. 4. Auto away mode works. It has a motion sensor that turns on the display when you walk by. Areas of improvement: 1. Heater/air-con only turns on 2-3 degrees above/below set points. Have to manually compensate when setting my range. 2. Paper instruction wiring is misleading especially on RC or C wires. Use the website to get your correct wiring. 3. Expensive toy

Design is perfect and easy to use. Interface is functional. Love that you can connect it to the network and control it anywhere.

Installation was a breeze. Their website has a great tool for matching up the wires you have with where they are supposed to go on the Nest. Once installed, everything just worked. The interface and app are intuitive and easy to use. The only thing I would point out is that the “learning” mode is on by default. That’s not necessarily a problem, but something to be aware of.

Love this and the features for helping keep our energy costs down. It learns trends to be able to heat or cool the house efficiently. We have an extra Nest sensor for the nursery to help control the temperature for the baby. Only downside is you need someone to install for you if you have a complicated Heat/cool system

The installation and instructions were easy to follow. The app allows me to adjust the temperature before I get home. I have not used the programming feature because the Nest has done a great job learning our patterns. I connected the app to my AI for added convenience. Absolutely love the thermostat and will definitely replace the one we have upstairs!!

I read reviews on many thermostats before purchasing as well as watching videos about them. Nest won me over. Install was a breeze and it looks very nice. Give it a couple days to learn you and it will start making decisions. I have Amazon Echo and it works great with that as well as my lifx bulbs when linked to a nest protect. Check your local utility company, you may be eligible for a rebate.

A lot of features to use with or w/o the smart phone app. Eco definitely helps to save on money when we're away from home, too. Overall, this is the 2nd nest thermostat I bought (gave the first one to a friend), and it's just nice to have quality of life control over the AC/heat.

Picked up for $79.99 with Pacific Power coupon code. Installed in 10 minutes. Easy to use, setup, and program. Convenient being able to turn it up a couple degrees if you want from the comfort of your bed in the morning. We'll see if there are any energy savings, but with the coupon i received it was affordable enough to get.

Just having the Nest thermostat over 30 days now so far it's been great. Was easy to install took maybe 15 minutes. Haven't seen huge impact yet just due to time but it does show a leaf when your being more efficient to get you started on saving. Being Google owns nest no HomeKit support for iPhone but the app from the App Store covers everything from changing settings remotely and even turning it off.

The install was super simple and the Nest Customer Service is excellent if you run into any issues. This thermostat has so many options that after a few months i am sure that i am still not taking full advantage of this system. But I love the fact that I can control it through the app away from home and that I don't have to get up to see what the temperature is anymore. I can simply ask my google home to simply lower or raise the temperature from the bed and presto its done. No more getting up in the middle of the night when my wife is creating too much body heat lol.

We had this installed about a week ago. I downloaded the app immediately. The thermostat works wonderfully and is pretty easy to figure out. It's still good to read the directions though to understand how it works. Being able to adjust the thermostat from bed or anywhere else is so cool. We received rebate money from our energy ($75) and our gas company ($50) which was helpful.

Short of spending quite a bit of money on a complex AC system this can help level up your efficiency and lower your bills quite substantially by intelligently keeping your temperatures where you want them. It very much pays for itself after a few months of usage and that's without even considering the various rebate programs that exist. Being able to control temps from your phone/google assistant is a nice bonus and I do love being able to see usage metrics and such.

I got this cause I am away from my home time to time, it will go into ECO mode and use less heating oil as if I am there, it has a Home mode and a Away mode, plus I can change the temp from my cell phone, it know if I am home. It tells me the temp outside also, this is a Neat thing to do. This is for my home in St. George, UT

My third google - nest learning Smart WiFI thermostat. One in my primary residence and two at my vacation home. So easy to use and fantastic being able to view temp before arriving at the home to potentially adjust the temp.

Easy to install, Sleek design and great to be able to control from phone.

I have been very happy with the Nest Thermostat overall. It is my second purchase in the Nest family after my Nest Cam. Installation was very easy and I had no knowledge going in installing thermostats. The design is thin and modern with an intuitive UI. The only problem I have had with Nest is the Auto-Away feature has been wonky ever since I installed the Nest Thermostat as the Cam and Thermostat don't seem to talk to each other very well. For example, when I get home, my AC might start but the Cam does not turn off even though the app recognizes that I am home. Hopefully some of these bugs will get worked out.

Will save you money , nice to know if issues arose while away will get an alert if offline for some reason. also nice to adjust temp before getting home when returning from vacation so its nice and cozy upon return. Now have to use the google home app to control , it was better when all controls were next standalone app but its ok still. Wish it worked with alexa but ai knew this when i bought i control from phone app

I've had this for almost 6 months and I am please beyond words. I love the fact that I can be anywhere in the house and control it with my voice through google. Or even be away from home and be able to control it. There's so many settings that are amazing to utilize for comfort and efficiency. I would highly highly recommend.
