Only have had it for a month,but this thing is night and day compared to my old thermostat,so far no problems.I'd say you'd have to wait ayear probably before you can really see energy savings,to match against previous year.The things this device does are to numerous to mention.I will say if you can wait for a sale,I got mine week of black fri,plus got 2 different rebates from my local utilites,so that is one of the reasons I purchased.Well worth it.

I'm heavily invested in the Nest Eco System so these were a welcome addition. They work great, are easy to set up and I'll definitely be adding more once I can find them on sale. $249 is a bit expensive for a thermostat regardless of what it does. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase and the quality of the product.

I live in a 2 story house and the thermostat is upstairs. The Nest is so easy to control with my phone. I can adjust the temperature from anywhere so now when I’m on vacation or at work, I can leave it off and cool or heat just before I get home. Plus, I got it on sale!!!

Very easy to setup, install and use. The product came with all the tools required to install the product including a neat screwdriver. Love the motion sensing feature, just walk or wave in front of it and it tells you what the temp is. Scheduling etc is very easy to use. We use the NEST App to set it away when we go out and turn it on when we are 15 min from home (winter weather) Compared to old style Honeywell we had, this is so much easier and logical to use

Very nice visually, both on display output and mechanical feel. Has lots of heft and high quality detents. Pairs nicely with Amazon echo. All you have to is enable nest skill and name your nest in Alexa app. Just say "Alexa turn up " (name of the device).." or turn down. App is almost identical in terms of output. Really cool that you can control with your smartphone when you are away. Can adjust temp automatically when smartphone is way from house.

We bought two weeks ago, very easy to instal just follow the direction. Works great.

only had this for 2 days and I love it, easy to install. Google support was really no help to me at all. I had to basically figure it out on my own.

I was a huge fan of this thermostat at first. Worked as described! Learned when I was home and when I was at work. It was saving me money for sure. Then my first one quit working randomly. I contacted google and they graciously sent me a “new one”. I plugged it in and got it set up and it was back to normal. A few months later and now I am having issues again. After talking to google I find out when the thermostats go out they send you refurbished ones. “But have no concerns. These refurbished ones are thoroughly inspected before they are sent out” is what google told me. I find this ridiculous to have to get on the phone with google every few months just to get a new thermostat sent out. Unfortunately going back to my old Honeywell as I never had issues with it. First google product I’ve been disappointed with.

The installation of the Nest Thermostat is pretty straightforward. Make sure you verify your control unit wires are compatible before you purchase. Also, make sure you know what type of AC/Heater type you have (multi-stage, ect...). After two months of having it installed, I have saved roughly $150 each month. The remote capabilities are also a nice feature for those that would like to use it in a summer/winter home.

Working great so far ..We have been using for the last 1*year..it works perfectly..no issues..schedules/ease of use.We have replaced the traditional thermostat(honeywell) with this one and very happy with the purchase...

This is a great addition to a home if you want to be able to track and control your heating and cooling. The fact that it learns a schedule is great.I took a star off since it died in 11 months. There was something wrong with the WiFi card. 4 stars still since Google replaced it quickly and with only minimal hassel.

Great improvement and efficiency over the last model. Install is easy and works like a charm.

Very easy to install, just follow the instructions. Online app makes it easy to program, if you do not want to do it manually on the unit itself. The self learning feature only takes a few days to know your heating and cooling pattern. Note: I would believe most homes would need to use the backing plate that come with the unit. All the photos of the unit mounted on the wall do not show the plate, only the unit.
