Neat packaging, easy setup, good and simple instructions. Replaced my 20 year old thermostat without issues. Connected to WiFi right away. Been using it for 1 month now: it’s saving me energy cost with self learning, “away” setting and by being able to control it from my phone. Also like the large number, can easily see from across the room.

Have 3 earlier generation Nest thermostats for my home and my tenant. One "died" due to faulty wiring by the electrician that caused a "burnout" of the battery (that's my advanced technical summary). Got the 3rd gen and love it more than the others. It's like when your new baby comes home and you have to hide how much more you like it from the other children. Works the way it's supposed to, the auto away feature is a major money saver for someone with a varied schedule. Integrating with my Nest cams and the security/temp regulation in my home is complete. Thank you Nest

We have a Lennox Pulse furnace from 1991 and I was unsure if the Nest would be compatible. Installation was very easy and it works flawlessly!

After having this device for about 7 months I can safely say that this device is not what it’s all cracked up to be. Aesthetically it looks really nice on my wall, gives it a pretty modern look. Also being able to control the climate via phone is pretty handy but other than that it’s not very useful. First it’s auto scheduling is very unpredictable and impractical. As a person that already keeps the thermostat at 78 degrees there doesn’t seem to be anything this thing can do to save energy while also keeping the house at a comfortable temperature. It will try to put the house a 83 degrees sometimes and you have to switch it back up. The auto scheduling will eventually switch it back down and it’s a constant fight with this device, which ends up using more power to cool the house 6 degrees. If you try to set up your own schedule like turning down the AC during peak hours, it will make its own with worse temperatures at random times. At the end I have not seen a change in my electric bill compared to last years kWh usage after 7 months with me allowing it to auto schedule. Despite the uncomfortable temperatures it set my house too. I ended up turning it off, which defeats the purpose then it just becomes a regular $30 thermostat for $250. Luckily my local electric company has a rebate program that gives you a $85 credit to your bill which brings down the price but not enough to justify the cost compared to my old thermostat. Your better off just keeping your thermostat at 78 and just leaving it there because it’s more energy efficient to keep a house cool that to cool it down from a high temperature.

I always wanted to buy one of these, we recently moved to a new house and I bought this thermostat. Installation was very easy and straightforward. After a week of learning how you adjust the temperature, the thermostat learns the pattern and creates a schedule by itself. You can also create your own schedule on the app which is also very easy to use. Im very happy with my purchase.
