I've been keeping tabs on Nest for a while. I've wanted one since they came out and I'm finally at a point that I have my own house and want to fill it with nice things. Not only does Nest look great, but it works great too. My only complaint is the "Home and Away" sensing, but I turned it off and everything has worked pretty flawlessly. I unfortunately had to use the face plate as my old thermostat had holes that would've shown. When my wife and I reliant the house we'll fill them and take the face plate off because it makes it look so much cooler.

I purchased the nest smart thermostat because I wanted a way to set schedules and monitor energy usage, and after doing some research it was a no-brainer decision. I have had it for a month now, and had modest savings on my energy bill. We'll have to see how it does in the long run, but in my area this thing will theoretically pay for itself in around 3 years, and it looks great too. I definitely recommend this product.

There is little reason NOT to install this thermostat. There was a pretty decent sale and our local utility company also has a rebate for the installation of it. Sweet. It does begin to "learn" our habits after about a week. It's great to wake up to a warmer house and have it cooler at night while sleeping. Like the idea of monitoring from basically wherever we are to ensure that the heat is on....and if it isn't, can alert a friend/neighbor to have it checked. Works with Alexa as well.

Managed to pick up a Nest thermostat on a sale and I will say that I was pretty skeptical on smart appliances in general but the convenience and scheduling options that come with the aesthetic housing are very welcome. Especially in comparison to the typical thermostats you get in apartment complexes, the wiring and setup process was very intuitive.

This is easy to use and can be used with an app on your phone. Love it and looks great too!

The unit is so nice to use and so easy to setup. Connects to the wifi with ease and you can see the temputure from 25 feet away.

I call this an investment deliberately. The way the thermostat automatically picks up my presence and schedules the temperature with appropriate indicators for "eco mode" I am positive I will see an improvement in my energy bills. But even if that remained constant, the convenience of being able to adjust remotely and have it all at your fingertips is in itself money well spent! The energy company rebate for buying this just made the decision all the more easier, but highly recommended rebate or no rebate!

I live in a two story house and my thermostat is located downstairs. It is such a great feature to be able to adjust the thermostat in bed through my iPhone instead of having to go downstairs to adjust it. I also love the fact that I can start the A/C on my way home in order to come home to a cool house. Another great thing about this thermostat is that both my power and gas company mailed me a rebate. I feel like this thermostat was well worth the price and I would recommend this to everyone.

Just installed so can’t speak to the energy savings benefits but installation was easy and it looks sharp on the wall.
