My electric bill was close to 400 a month and my air would run all day. I love this because it cuts run time of when the air is on. You can set times of when the thing will change temperature and even when ur not home. There are days it won’t come on at all. Love that I can see how long it’s been on to adjust where need be if I have to. Since then my bill has been 130 a month. Huge savings

I have used 1st and 2nd generation in other houses and now using 3rd generation nest in the new house. Bought due to sleeker design, display and updated sensors. Needed help with the wiring, so called customer service and I couldn't be happier with the service I have received. Other options considered was Ecobee 3.

I love my nest. It learns a lot from your habits in the day. Aesthetically it is very beautiful as well.

At first I wasn't sure if I really wanted to spend this much money on a smart thermostat, but I've wanted one for a while so I decided to pull the trigger. As soon as I took it out of the package I was really impressed with the quality of this thermostat. The look, the feel, and everything else about it was top of the line. It was a breeze to install, easy to use and I haven't had a single issue with it. I should have bought one a long time ago.

We love the Nest. It's easy to setup and use. I especially like the leaf, which tells me at a glance if I'm in an eco-friendly mode or temperature. Our electric company recently informed us that they are changing their service to include peak and non-peak hours. Having the Nest will enable us to easily schedule our heat pump not to run at those peak hours and will save us a lot of money.

Installed over a month ago and everything seems to be working fine. We love the ability to control it from our phones and the learning feature was spot on. Only complaint was wiring the thermostat was a pain for my particular unit.

I compared this with it's closest functional peers. In the end, I chose this based on it's functionality and compatibility with other home technology products. Installation and set up were a snap with well written instructions. It's only been two weeks since install so I don't yet have an electric bill to make before and after comparison of energy savings. I'll update once I have more history. I highly recommended this thermostat!

Love that you can now monitor your temperature for your home from anywhere. It has a great look and easy to use.

I bought this primarily for the "learning" function to keep a more consistent heat with my radiant floors. It helps some with the ups and downs in temperature, but nowhere near as much as I had hoped. Though it is aesthetically pleasing and it's nice to use remotely via smart phone, if you goal is tight control over your radiant floors, I'd look at the less expensive competition. It also drives me crazy that Nest refuses to allow the display to show the ACTUAL temperature in the room in large numbers. You only see the temperature that it's set to unless you walk right up to it and look at the fine print.

Does what I expected. Looks good on the wall. Only complaint is the mounting bracket and screws. The holes weren’t drilled out properly and the screws are brittle. Two of the four snapped at the head when installing. Had to use better screws to install.

The Nest gives me the control I want and need for the cooling and heating of my home. Not only is it much more user friendly than your typical thermostats but having the option to control the temperature while I'm away is such a nice option to have. Now that I've owned it a couple months now I find I am adjusting the temperature way less. This is due to how the Nest learning my habits and automatically adjusting to them. It does exactly what the company advertises folks.

The install of this device was beyond easy. Wonderful product and a tasty rebate from my power company as well!

Purchased a ecobee 4, returned it. I then purchased a Nest 3rd generation. The Nest is a true Learning smart thermostat. The first week or so it learned how I set my home. By the end of the first week I never needed to schedule or set a temp. It automatically scheduled times for me. So it is a smart Thermostat vs the ecobee which is a programmable thermostat with Alexa. Nest also can be controlled with Alexa. All in all. You will be happy with the nest.
