Great thermostat...love it!! Was really easy to install Best buy worker said, we would need to buy new wiring to install the nest. Sent a picture of the old thermostat to the nest.com, they sent me a reply immediately telling me it was compatible. My nest is installed with very little fuss and I can lay in bed and turn down the heat when I wake up hot...with my cell phone!! Wish it was a little cheaper in price!!

This is a great thermometer. Very reliable. East to operate. My only complaint is my husband controls the house temp from his phone, when I am hot and I walk over and change it, and he knows from wherever he is and readjusts..... it is like hogging the remote, but now it is not just what I'm watching , but my comfort.

It was a little interesting to install but it could have been my HVAC unit. However, once installed I have been very happy. I am looking at install additional components as well. The smoke detectors are going in be installed as well as a camera or two in the next few months. The emails showing how often the unit ran and total length of time is a nice touch in helping with keeping power consumption and costs down.

I really like the Nest. It has a lot of great features and is relatively easy to install. I struggled a little with figuring out auto away, but otherwise everything has worked great.

Easy setup, accurate temperature control and it looks great on your wall.

I was very skeptical purchasing this thermostat but the skepticism went away quickly. Installation was very easy with the installation guide and setup was a breeze. The way this thermostat learns your daily settings and adjusts them at the times you normally make adjustments is amazing plus the ability to see how much your system is running daily is a great feature.

This is an incredibly easy install for what is now a permanent fixture to our home. The nest thermostat not only allows us to control from afar via the smartphone app, it also geofences our location and automatically goes to eco mode while away. We love the learning function, which has slowly accomodated to our cooling needs. Can't wait to see how it works in the winter.

Great, Should have made the switch earlier. The device allows me to control the temperature from anywhere.

This is my second Nest, I'm upgrading from gen 1 after moving. I have one of these upstairs and downstairs. The new white trim is extremely attractive, goes well with the baseboards, and when the blue screen lights up it's just really great looking. Oh, it also works really well. You can tell a definite drop in power bills, 25-30 a month. They will both pay for themselves in the first year.

No question, Nest makes THE BEST functioning smart thermostats that anyone can purchase. Ease of use is A+++++++ and the connection/control to their app is equally A++++. It can be as basic as 'set up and go' or you can lean in further to its total functionality. I love my Nests and the gen3 is tremendous.

I wanted smart thermostat to help manage the energy cost for my home. I was away during recent periods for very variable temperatures. I really liked the ability to change settings remotely. I actually brought three of these for various areas of the house with different heating cooling requirements. I have be able to minimize the hvac run time. I have not used them long enough to know if I am saving money.

Very happy with the new (3rd Gen) Nest. We already have a 2nd Gen and have been very happy with it. Currently use one upstairs and one downstairs. They work the same although the 3rd Gen's numbers are larger and easier to read. I love the ability to control both thermostats from my phone. Installation is pretty straight forward, just be sure to turn the power off to your HVAC system before starting.

No complaints. Easy as heck to install and works great. Best purchase of the year thus far.

It's my second nest thermostat and I installed it in a new (to us) home. I debated with the Ecobee this time around but ended up sticking with what I knew. It's great to be able to install it right out of the box without any extra tools needed. I'd recommend the Nest to anyone because it's easy to use and install. Beyond that, the Ecobee seems to do similar things.
