Lot better than 2nd Generation nest product. Read reviews of second generation product and also looked at it. All the issues from previous generation are resolved in this 3rd generation one and it looks awesome as well.

I live in a relatively small apartment and have not seen a huge reduction in my bill after switching to the Nest. However, the Nest does make it much easier to set and maintain a comfortable temperature than the analog thermostat that it replaced. It's also a comfort to me to be able to log into the app remotely and make sure that my apartment is being kept at a temperature that is comfortable for my pets at home.

the item was easy to install, but you do need a plier to remove the wire on the old ac unit. You do need to turn off the main ac power before you start the install. You might need to adjust few wiring option before you get the correct setting.

This was very easy to use. I went to the website and listed how my previous thermostat was installed and it gave me the exact diagram to install the nest. Now we are able to see how much our air and furnace is running and set schedules. It has saved us money!

This is a replacement for the original Nest thermostat. This one works great and the black collar looks nice as well. Hopefully this last for a long time.

Love this product. Works on my system without a c-wire. Easy install and setup. Scheduling takes a little getting used to. Make sure you check for rebates or instant credits from your service provider!

Good. Could be better with Matter support so it would work with Apple Home. Google's cheaper thermostat supports Matter, no reason this one shouldn't. It has all the necessary hardware for it.

One of the best investments I've made! This product is for a second home in an arid state. We can monitor the internal temperature of the house and can turn on the air conditioner if it gets too hot.

The Nest does more than I could imagine. The fact that it monitors the temperature and can automatically adjust your environment according to your usage is awesome. The phone app is great for when you forget to adjust the temperature prior to leaving for vacation.

I bought this product and installed it in my home. Installation was straightforward and took less than a half an hour to install the device. It was easy to program and does what it is supposed to do. The only reason I did not rate this a five star because of the potential security risk that this has.I don't know if it actually has security risks or not, but, that's what I have seen in print. I do have a secure router so I'm hoping that for protects me.

I purchased a nest thermostat. The product was faulty out of the box. I spent $80 for a certified tech to diagnose that my HVAC was perfect but that the nest product backplate was faulty. (The tech also stated this is a common problem with nest). I called nest customer service and the tech was condescending on teaching me how corporations regulations work and he could do nothing. I had all the paperwork to email to him but he insisted he could do nothing. I then explained I'd leave a review on the product and how he handled it by not reaching a compromise of some sort. I will be returning the 2nd nest product I had to purchase. All in all, I'm sure the product works great when it works but I hope you never need to use the customer service. The tech Mike was VERY unhelpful and even asked me if I worked for a company and I understood my regulations at work. What a rude guy. I told him I hoped that his company was recording this conversation. I'm sure they'll be talking to him on how the real world operates. #clueless. I will be posting this unfortunate experience on other websites as well. Hope this helps you decide what product is best for you.

The extra screen real estate and resolution make a significant aesthetic improvement versus the second generation. Easy to use, easy to set up.

The Nest works like a charm it self learns your schedule has the cooling set even before I'm home! Awesome tool for cooling in the summer!

when i purchased this item, started relaxing myself in home. There have nice feaures like auto away, heat and cool option,remotely off from phone. equally maintance.

Love love love this thermostat. I can control it when I'm at work or anywhere away from home. I have two separate pads to control heating and cooling in my home and when I bought the nest for my downstairs level I immediately said I have to buy one for upstairs. I love it!!!!!!

It's pretty straightforward to install and use.Hooks up to your wi-fi and then self learns to set right temperature for your home saving your energy cost.
