I have been using the nest for about 2 weeks at my home and notice that it has already learnt the temperature patterns I prefer. After about 5-6 days of manually setting temperatures, it is now on cruise control. Great device.

I can be far away out of the house and can change the temperature to make our home more comfortable when we arrive. Nice, sleek, modern device to make the house look smarter!

I have an older programmable thermostat that I have been meaning to replace for the last 3 years and I finally picked up a NEST thermostat. Having installed a couple of thermostats over the years, I was not particularly concerned about installing it. But the custom installation video you get based on the wires you have is certainly a nice touch. Setup was very easy once installed.

Very nice and easy to use. Could not leave without anymore.

We bought this to be able to control heat/air from multiple devices. It has served that purpose. While it was supposed to be compatible with our system we did have to have a service technician come out and install since we couldn't get it to run. All is well now. Only drawback is I can't change the settings without my husband seeing it even if he isn't home!

I purchased this for a friend as a housewarming ( no pun intended ) gift. She lives in South Carolina so she had someone install it for her and she loves it. Very convenient for her as she travels a lot.

First step towards home automation, installation was easy after some initial assistance from NEST help desk. System has now learned our routine and is fully automated. Looking forward to adding NEST smoke detector next. Great product.

The nest thermostat is better than expected. It was very easy to setup. I ran into an issue (received an error code), but I called their support and it worked. The app is very easy to use too. Awesome product!

This is my second Nest purchase, sold my home so I needed a replacement thermostat for our new home. Love the app and installation was simple and fast.

I wish I would have purchased these devices years ago. I have saved so much money and I love the fact that I monitor and adjust the setting from anywhere. A must have.

after 3 tries of getting the Nest installed, we finally had success. So far so good.

I got this as my best friend already had one installed in her home and she was rave about it. I haven't noticed a major difference in air flow, temperature stability or whatever; but my power bill has been lower! Another thing I like about it is that it takes into account when we're not in the house, so depending on how much travel we do this year I should be able to see more of a difference in energy conservation in the form of a much lower power bill.

Followed the instructions and it was very easy to set-up. Taking a picture of your old wiring prior to removing the old thermostat makes it all very easy. The only item I had was I did not know if my heat pump was a type O or B and I set it wrong to begin. When the cold air started blowing to heat the house and hot air blowing to cool the house I did some quick research to find the issue. Easy fix and now it works great. I also set-up the proximity setting and it works really well. When my phone leaves the house the temp goes to the predetermined temp and when I return it reverts back to the normal operation.

We love our Nest thermostat! Easy to install and very user friendly. Love that we can control our thermostat from our phones! We have already saved money in the 2 months we have had our Nest.

3.5 if i could... but doesnt deserve 4. It has and automatic "away setting" where if you leave it turns off the ac or turns it way up. I have animals at home and we were concerned why our house was 87!!! When we got back home and thought something was wrong with our ac. Turns out some location got turned on in the app and so when we left and we didnt set up the temps it just defaulted to like 87... we are in Florida. Thats freaking hot. And i have 2 big dogs... not the best. But overall it works well in general. Just beware if you have animals and stop that right away. Weve read of the animals it has killed from this happening.

The Nest was in my wish list for a long time and it was worth the wait. My home feels more consistently within the temp I set and the controls are so easy to use! Install and set up a breeze!

So easy to install on line video also. But the main reason why I got this Nest Thermostat was to be able to control the temperature of my house when I'm not home and also the nest thermostat will learn your pattern

Really like this product, looks nice on the wall and keeps good statistics on use. I did not install this myself; however found the app easy to use.

I purchased a 3rd generation Nest thermostat and installed it. I had one issue with this. To charge its batteries, the Nest needs a C (common) wire hooked up; otherwise it tries to charge itself whenever the heating or cooling system is running -- the only time current is passing through it. When I hooked one of my Nests up, it said it needed to charge its batteries, and even though my house had no need for cooling or heating, it turned my HVAC on for hours to charge its batteries. I researched, found out what the problem was, and hooked up a C wire (luckily my HVAC controller had a place to hook up a C wire and my thermostat wires each had three extra wires in them). Good luck to anyone without an extra wire to use.
