This is the second nest we have owned. It has worked very well for us. As I am an individual who is blind, I particularly appreciate the app which is accessible from most functions. The only recommendation I would offer is the scheduler. That is not accessible right now because the schedule is in a grid and I have no way of navigating it. This does not impact my rating however as the nest ultimately remembers our heating preferences.

This product was very easy to install, even with my zero-none experience with electrical wires. There is a guide online that tells you if your set up is compatible with the Nest. Best part is being able to control the temperature from anywhere, and using its eco guide to help conserve energy.

I have had the 2nd generation NEST for about three years now. I honestly cannot tell what is the difference between the 2nd generation and the 3rd generation. The profile is slightly slimmer but nothing noticeable other than that.
