    This was our second time purchasing. Our first nest was fried when our home was struck by lightening. This is a sensitive device and it did not survive the extreme power surge. I will say that the customer support was excellent when we tried to diagnose whether or not it was dead. The performance on the new and prior Nest has been very reliable and it definitely keeps our home at a steady temperature (unlike the digital one we had before.)

    Overall have had no problem with it. Installation I had done by Geek Squad. Found out that my old thermostat was off in degrees compare to the Nest. Has been working well.
