    I bought the stainless version along with a chromed-plastic plate from Amazon to cover up the hole left from the previous original thermostat BEFORE realizing they include a goof plate for this very reason. I think it's just white, but still, if that works for you then no need to get anything else.

    The instructions are straightforward for self-installation, and the interactive website support alloswed me to switch out our former thermostat in under ten minutes. It looks wonderful, and can automatically learn your heating/cooling schedule after a week.
