Really cool thermostat especially used with google home! It’s round so the plate you have to use to cover the square hole your old school thermostat it replaces is not so attractive but it’s a great product!

If I could give this piece of junk less than one star I would. I bought two Nest Learning Thermostats, one for each floor of my house. I set the first one up and the app kept freezing on the same page. After contacting customer support their answer was to uninstall, reset to factory settings, reinstall and if it happens again let the app freeze and wait 10 minutes. That did work, and I had the same problem installing the second thermostat. They worked ok for the first two weeks and then the first thermostat failed. It was a really hot day, and I had the cool cycle going. But I noticed it was getting gradually warmer, not cooler. So I check the thermostat which said “72” in bold numbers, but when I checked the app is said it was 80 in the house. So I tried to turn the thermostat down by one degree, and it said it would take 2+ hours to cool. I went to the Google website and it said this happens when the battery dies, but this model doesn’t have a battery. So I called the support and they said it’s probably the AC compressor. But it wasn’t because the thermostat on the other floor was cooling. So they claimed it was the wiring. So I swapped the thermostats (moved the bottom floor to the top floor and vice versa), but that caused the second one to fail too. Now they both said it would take 2+ hours to cool by 1 degree. The support desk person said I should return them, but BestBuys’s return policy is 15 days, and I was 5 days over. I just pulled them down and reinstalled my old thermostats and the AC works perfectly. Don’t buy these crappy pieces of junk.

Easy to set up and nice looking. If you buy one see if there are rebates available in your area! Will save you money in the long run. Highly recommend. Great replacement.

We purchased a Nest in our last home. Once we moved, we couldn't live without it. The ability to set a schedule, set an eco-friendly mode, or heat the house up before getting out of bed the morning is the coolest. Also, check for rebates in your area if you do purchase a Nest.

Still learning all the functions. But love it! Especially that fact that we're saving money

It is pricy for a reason. Have 4 of these in my home. The option to add temperature sensors to a different part of the house is a great way to bring efficiency and savings. Having rebates for these purchases are helpful.

I like the ability to control through the phone but the “learning feature is frustrating. It changes temperature on you all of the time and I can’t figure out how to shut that off.

This is our second pair of Nest Thermostats. One pair is at our beach house; just installed in a new primary residence. Absolutely wonderful to control your heating and cooling from anywhere. Don't know how we lived without them!

Works ok for my purpose. Wanted the Honeywell but wound have needed to add a wire

I am trying to be green and not have ac running while I am not home. Took me a few weeks to get on a regular schedule, happy to say that the nest is an amazing product. Regulates my heat and ac. Living in Texas, with extreme weather changes, I will have to readjust but money well spent

I should have read more reviews. There are lots of things I like about this thermostat, although it comes up short; and I bought four for my home and am now committed! The biggest gap is that there is no HOLD TEMP feature. I had to turn off learning and delete schedules to use two of them like manual thermostats; a waste of money other than the ability to adjust from my phone. Next, I had a lot of set-up issues; multiple attempts per thermostat were required. Finally, the AWAY feature or Geofencing has yet to work. This was very important to me. I really like the Remote Sensor functionality, although already had a problem. After running fine for several days, one sensor disconnected from its thermostat. After much troubleshooting, I found that the sensor was fine and I had to reset the connected thermostat. The learning feature is nice, but without the other features I mentioned, it’s just another thermostat. I feel I could have spent less and received equal or superior results with another brand, such as the Honeywell T9.

This is by far the best smart wifi thermostat on the market. Easy to setup and easy to use and the money you save from the learning feature it pays for itself.

This is the 3rd Nest thermostat I have purchased. I love the apps on the 3rd generation that I can use on my phone or tablet. It's very easy to read especially for my elderly mother. I will recommend Nest Thermostats to all of my friends co-workers and family members!

Set the temperature to where you are comfortable and the system takes over knowing when you are around or not and will lower and raise the temperature accordingly not allowing you to over heat or over cool for no reason at all.

This thermostat controls my entires home A/C and saved me 100$ the first month i installed it since i can control it from the comfort of my work when i leave home.

I would definitely recommend this over any other smart thermostat It knows when you leave the house and you can put it on the schedule as well and I love that you can buy additional sensors to sit as the master temperature to go off of

I was contemplating on getting one of these for the past few years but didn't go for it until recently. I have had it for about 45 days now and boy do I love it! Combined with Google Home or Amazon Echo (I have both) it takes convenience to another level. I am satisfied with what it offers although a tiny thing I miss from my previous dumb thermostat is the ability to set a differential temperature range. I hope Nest adds this feature soon.
