Nice that you can adjust it from your phone as well. For those that aren't too tech savvy it looks like a very simple thermostat that is easy to see and adjust.

First I had to make sure I was getting one that would work with my AC unit. I finally decided to get the nest and I am glad I did. As someone who has never installed something like this It was easy and the follow-up system check ensured that everything was connected properly. I have it connected to my Google Home unit and feel like I am no longer in the dark ages. I am also seeing the savings on my heating/cooling bill, which will have paid for the cost of this unit in about 5-6 months at the rate I am going.

After plugging them in while watching the Nest install video on youtube, everything booted right up on the first try. The app works very good. There is no lag when setting a temp on the app and it changing at my house. I love the fact that it turns off the heat or the AC unit but keeps the fan running for a Little bit longer to keep push the air. This saves on the bills but it keeps doing what it should. Over all I would recommend this to anyone looking to get a WiFi enabled Thermostat.

I am glad to say I did finally buy it and really do believe it's worth it. If you're a data geek or just simply love the convenience of adjusting the temperature from your bed.

In 2017 in the summer, it failed to pump out cold air and kept pumping out hot air. Nest (at the time) sent a technician and fixed it. In 2018, same problem, but this time they said the unit was defective and provided a replacement, great! In 2021, it's happened again, and google was only willing to troubleshoot online and isnt willing to send a technician or cover any costs. It's a very nice looking piece of junk. I bought another one in 2020 for another part of house thinking the issues were behind me. They werent.

A range issue or wireless interference can cause your thermostat to disconnect from your Wi-Fi. Sometimes it may pass the connection test during setup, but will struggle to stay connected if it’s just a bit too far away. You may also check for objects such as mirrors and refrigerators between the thermostat and your router as these items could block the connection. For more help, read Troubleshooting Wireless Interference here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9276282
Also, connectivity issues may occur when your system wires can't deliver enough power to keep the thermostats charged up. The thermostat uses the voltage from your system’s wires to keep its internal battery charged, so if the power from your system is insufficient, the thermostat will run on battery for a while but will turn off features like Wi-Fi to preserve battery life before it must turn off completely.
