Simple and easy to use. Motion sensor lighting is great when changing the temp at night.

I was a little skeptic to pay $250 for a programmable thermostat and even when the price dropped when the 2nd Gen came out, I was still skeptical. But I have a family that includes 3 small children so our schedules are hectic and we don't always remember to turn our thermostat down when we should. Plus we go to the lake a lot in the summer and being able to control the thermostat from our smart phones was very intriguing to me. So I went ahead and made the purchase and after about a week, its been great. Its learning our schedule and the "Auto Away" has kicked in when we have left for an extended period of time. In fact with that feature, we only need to turn it up/down from our phones now when we are coming home from an extended leave. I will be anxious to check our electricity bills from last year to see if am getting the savings that I believe I am. Its a truly "set it and forget it" type of deal. Now, I did have some problems with the installation. I am not expert in the HVAC business but I feel I do a pretty good job of following instructions. I did as I was instructed (configuring the wires) and the heat wouldn't kick on. I called the Nest customer service and we ran through a bunch of tests and after about an hour and half we came to the conclusion that I had system with a water pump and thermostat needed to be configured with the update. The problem was, my nest wouldn't update when connected to my computer so we had to wait for the "OTA" update. Finally it connected to my WiFi and updated and the customer service rep helped me reconfigure my wires so that the Nest worked with my system. Its worked like a champ ever since. The customer service rep was nice and patient and that ordeal was the only negative about buying the Nest but not sure it was anyone's fault, really. Overall, I would recommend the Nest especially if you are a busy family running throughout the week. It seems to be able to save you energy (and money!) even when you aren't paying attention to it. Is it worth the money...maybe. It all depends if you are disciplined enough to set your "dumb" programmable thermostat every time. If you do that, than its not worth the money. If you are like me though, I think its going to be a good investment. I will try to update my energy and money savings as I go along. That might help someone to decide to purchase or not if they know the actual savings this thing might give them.

I thought this would be more of a toy, But boy am I surprised. It cleans better than my new sharp. No backaches no worries house always looks clean. I highly recommend this product. In fact two of my friends have bought them, and they love them too.

Excellent Thermostat. Upgraded from the lite version after a furnace replacement and new thermostat wire with a C wire. Rebate from RG&E is icing on the cake.

I tried the Nest competitors. The Nest is by far the best smart thermostat. Nice solid construction. Easy to install. Works great. Easy control from my iPhone.

I had no trouble at all installing the thermostat. Easy to program and connect to my echo dot. I love that I can ask Alexa to change the temperature!

works well but it does requires some trial and error before the thermostat learns your habits

I wasn't familiarized with any of theses thermostats and now I am very happy about get one of them. You can control your ac with your phone with your voice. Its absolutely amazing.

Love the thermostat. What I didnt like was after doing the compatibility check before purchasing, which the check said it would work with my system. Well it didn't. I purchased the Geek Squad when purchasing the thermostat. When it didnt work I called them asking for help.... they were absolutely no help, no one I talked to were familiar with thermostat. Waste of $25. Finally had to hire an electrician to come get it to work. Cost an additional $125.00. Make sure you have 24 volts at your thermostat.

Amazing quality and build. The program is the same as the older version but the build is nicer.

Have the next for 6th months and it’s is a life changer. Happy I purchased it. Enjoy the fact it goes into Eco mode whenever I leave the house and turns back on when I arrive home and wnjoynthat I can control it with my google home.

Bought this for a family member. Nice product and easy to use. Wish it had remote sensors.

The installer was wonderful, took care to make sure we understood how to use and he did a great job of installing the product.

before using the nest my power bill was 313/mth avg. first month of using nest my power went to 167 and next month it is now at 149. Is staying right around that. Has alot of great features and i praise it everytime someone asks about thermostats or high power bills.
