Mine did not work properly when I bought it so I had to have the wiring changed from a 2 wire to a 3 wire for the c wire.so that was a added expense. If I knew that during my purchase I might of bought something to work with what I had and there is thermostats out there that don't require the third wire or c wire. Other than that I do like it.

My review would be with the sales pitch of $50 rebate. I was told by sales person that our power company would rebate $50 if we purchased this thermostat. In fact there was a sign stating $50 rebate, our power company says no. Very disappointed.

It was a gift for my daughter I heave it at my house It is being at my place for years I ❤️ it excellent!

I returned the smart thermostat although I wanted it and saw it’s value. It was too pricy for my current budget. I may buy one in my new home next year. Hope the prices go down

Very much appreciate being able to change the temperature remotely, especially when we are out of the house. The away feature has "bitten" us once or twice when we were gone and the house got overly warm. We liked our original one so much we got one for our garage apartment.

The app works seamlessly, and is easy to use. The thermostat itself is much more accurate than our last. And I love that it can change modes on the fly.

I purchased two of these thermostats for my home. I had them installed by a Nest Pro via a reference from the Nest website. The installation went without a hitch and it only took about 1 hour. Since installation, the thermostats developed a schedule and are now adjusting the temperature and saving energy. They both also communicate with my two Nest Protect smoke/carbon monoxide units for added security. This is money well worth spent. As an additional bonus, if you have them installed by a Nest Pro, the warranty gets extended for an additional three years.

This was the 1st item I needed to buy as soon as I moved into my new home. I've had experience with this before and I feel this is a product I need to have! In fact, I buy these for anyone I am friends with as a new home gift.

Long story short, the features and functionality of this device can be good to great. However, make sure your system and thermostat connection point has and supports a common wire. Despite Google/Nest's insistence that you do not need one in my experience and in that of many others you really do. Without a common power your thermostat under heavy load will not pull enough power off your system. As a result it will possibly (likely) cause your HVAC system to short cycle. There are various remedies available to alleviate this issue, but for people who do not have a common wire and or have a system where heat and A/C are spliced together, this can be more trouble than its worth and or require an HVAC specialist to rewire your system.

I love how easy it is to work using the app. I also like the reports it gives me.

Im not really a fan of the learning part but so far they haven't been that bad. I enjoy all of the smart features and the feedback on the system. Sometimes I would come home and it was 80 degrees and it said 2.5+ hours to cool to 70

Google support was really helpful with the install of this item. Saves me money.

I been having this product for 2 years now and I can say that it has seriously save me a tons of money, especially in the winter. I am able to set the temperature in the house at any moment.

It's so simple a baby can use it. Once installed (which is very easy) the app makes everything easy from setting the schedule and recognizing when you aren't at home so it saves you money by turning the heat/ (a/c) off. great product I highly recommend the nest.

My colleague recommended it. He saw a huge drop in his energy bill. Therefore, I decided to buy one. It was easy to install. It had all the components to install the nest including the screw driver. You can control the nest with the app. Everything was easy, from setting your temperature settings to use the home/away settings. Furthermore, you can see your history on how much your AC was running. No batteries for the nest as it is powered by the furnace. I only had mine for a few weeks so I cannot compare how much I saved energy wise.

Great, item. Love the lock setting on the thermostat, which is ideal for those grubby hands that are always wanting to touch the dial.

Has already saved us at least 70 dollars just in the first couple months, and now it's saving on gas now that it's getting colder! Easy to use and the app is too.
