The ability to control your thermometer from your phone is awesome.

As I started to set up the installation went through about 10 minutes of documentation to find out that it is not compatible with a basic gas wall heater. It did not give that much of an exclamation why? Ended up returning and will get a basic programmable thermostat instead

Yes, its a thermostat. It's kinda gimmicky. It's slightly expensive. But oh man, this thing is fantastic. You spend a week manually adjusting the temp to your liking, then it handles the rest. Gone on vacation? It can "sense" your phone (if you have the app installed) and uses motion detection to know if you are home. If not, it lets the temp fall to a predetermined temp. My favorite part? You walk past it and it turns on and shows you the temp or forecast. It's like the thing just wants to say hi to you and I welcome it.

Voice activated and very convenient when you are away on vacation or even just running errands. Purchased this for my wife and we’re both in love with it!

Excellent thermostat. We have three zones in our house and I have all three matching nests.

It saves me a lot on my energy bill because I set it to away temperatures when I’m not home. So when I’m not home the heat or ac doesn’t keep turning on it will keep it at an economical temperature like I set my to 69 when I’m away. And when it feels me near it starts heating up my house to a nice 72 degrees so when I’m home I’m comfortable. I like that it pairs with my google home and that it has an app. I also love that I can put a passcode on it so no guest messes with it

If you're wanting a smart home, this is a great way to start. I can adjust the temp and even see my energy history remotely.

Love that it can be controlled on you phone. When you walk pass it it lights in. Let’s you know how long it will take to cool down to your desire temperature. Very nice color.

Product was easy to install and seems to be working great so far and hope to see a improvement on my electric bill in the coming months

This was one of the best things I’ve purchased for my home!! My energy use is monitored and after a few days it predicts my temperature needs on a daily basis!

Nice product but feels like this is overpriced I know this isn’t used much but turning on fan only feature isn’t implemented well There should be instructions to charge it for the first time as I needed to charge mine for a while before it started set up. Google support was helpful

Awesome unit when it works but when it doesn’t it is almost impossible to get assistance from Google. In the summer the unit has no problems but when the temp drops below 40 in the winter it has issues constantly.

I really enjoy this thing, it adapts over time and will self adjust, does its best to save energy which essentially will pay for itself.

Very well made. Does what it says it does. The app is easy to use.

Nest makes good and attractive thermostats. I don't think it really saves you money, but reduces the complexity of programming the thermostat. It's user friendly and connected to internet. You can set temp via mobile app or via Google home. I don't like it's self learning feature, which has arbitrarily changed our temperature. Nice product
