Love being able to adjust the temperature to maximize savings remotely. For a primary residence, it is cool that it can learn your behaviors to maximize energy savings. I also like the way it looks on the wall and the display screen can be customizable.

It’s not the best for night shift workers because it “learns” then on your off days the temperature is wonky but it’s very easy to adjust, if your off days are not in a routine schedule.

- Make sure your internet service is working.
- Check your app version. Make sure that you have the latest version of the Nest app
- Restart both your Nest Learning Thermostat. Restart your thermostat to refresh your connection. Once done, try to add it to your account in the app again.
- Restart your router and modem. Unplug your modem and router power cords. Wait for 30 seconds, then plug your modem and router back in.
- Check the settings on your Wi-Fi router or access point. Restrictive firewall security or parental control settings on your Wi-Fi router can sometimes block communication with Nest servers. Refer to your Wi-Fi router or access point documentation to learn how you can exempt the Nest thermostat from these restrictions.

I love how you can set schedules for cooling and heating. As long as you download the app, you can control your home temp even while you’re away from home.

Looks elegant. It is such a convenience to have access to your thermostat remotely because sometimes I forget to adjust the temperature when I'll be away from home and this help me save money by not wasting energy trying to cool down my place while I'm not there but also getting it ready for when I return.
