    The new E is cheaper, but this is more high end and metal to last longer. So far it's just a thermostat that can turn heat and air on without having to control it.

    I don't know that there are enough differences to warrant the extra cash for 3rd gen vs 2nd gen. It supports everything I need it to and has a high def screen?? It already looked good enough.

    Within 60 days of purchase I encountered a malfunction with the device in which it would no longer connect to my Wi-Fi. After researching the issue, I discovered it was a known issue by Google. I contacted Google directly for assistance. Although it was a well known issue, it took nearly one month to receive a replacement. It's been over three months since it's been replaced and I haven't experienced further issues.

    I ordered the BLACK thermostat because it didn’t state mirror black. There are two black colors - mirror which is shiny and plain black which is matte. I wanted matter which is why I ordered Black. The Mirrored Black is what arrived. So now I need to go and return this item and was told it can take up to 30 days to get my refund. UPDATE THE DESCRIPTION!
