Easy Installation; Nightmare Set-up

I set each one up in 15 minutes, and I have spent hours trying to get it them to work. They lose battery charge in about 3 hours; they turn the AC on and off every few minutes without cooling the house. The message says it'll take 2+ hours to cool the house. I've read everything on the issues, and the solutions are not simple, and according to reviews you can sit on hold with their customer service forever. I checked prior to purchasing that they would work with my AC. Not so. I am beyond livid, as now I have to call an electrician, and it is 104' tomorrow.

From what you're describing it sounds like you may need to have common wires installed to prevent the behavior you're seeing. In most cases, Nest thermostats can charge their built-in battery using your system’s heating and cooling wires. But in a small number of situations you may need to connect a common or C wire to deliver enough consistent power to your thermostat.

I believe the self learning definitely has room to improve. For instance, if you start turning down the AC at night for a few nights but suddenly stop doing it, it will continue that learned behavior even after many nights of readjusting it over and over again.

I purchased this in may of 2020 and now it can’t connect to my wifi which was really the reason other than it looks why I got this in the first place. I enjoyed being able to control my thermostat away from home or at night when it got to chilly I would just reach my home with out having to get up from my bed to make adjustments. I no longer can’t do that. I called support and tried everything. They told me I would need to purchase another one since it was out of warranty. I can still control it manually not a big deal but I’m also having trouble with the display it goes blank. I tried charging it and still goes off from time to time. I just keep pushing, turning, going opposite direction until display comes back on. For the price I expected something more reliable.

Knows when no one is home and cuts back the home temperature automatically. Extremely easy to setup! Very easy to mount on the wall. I highly recommend this product.
