It is great to just have to look at your phone, whereever you are and see and adjust the temperature in your home. To make sure your home is warm and cozy before you get home. Higher recommended.

First thing, this is super easy to install, took me less then 10 minutes. Its simple, easy to use, and appears to be quite efficient. Only advice is to make sure before installing this that you have a common wire.

Bought this on Black Friday and installed on Christmas week. I got the black version and it is very sleek. I installed it without the white cover and it is clean. Let hope it functions better then it looks.

Great product. Love the fact that we can see what the temperature is at home when we're away and control it from anywhere. No more worrying and asking someone to check on our home when away!

This works very well. I like how it learns your schedule. This can be a little bit of a double edged sword though. If you have a schedule that changes constantly, it may not be able to properly learn your schedule.

Great purchase, keeping our home warm and balanced

The WiFi chip for the eLearning thermostat is faulty. Google knows of the issue, and working with customer service is a nightmare. This is our 4th replacement thermostat in 8 months. When it works, the integration to our house network is seamless. But COME ON.

We can have the temperature set for when we're driving to our second house a few hours away. Love that! Also great that we can check it after renters leave to make sure it wasn't left too high or too low

Didn't work with my system (house built in 2019). Kept saying it wasn't charging even after talking with support, ensuring wiring was correct, and paying for an electrician to check the system. Also, in the event of power outage this doesn't have a battery source backup.

My AC system doesn't have a C wire, but the nest doesn't require one. However, in this case, it recharges it's battery by tapping into your AC's circuitry. As a result, the day after I installed the nest, I had a burning smell coming from my AC system. It turns out my heating system was somehow getting switched on even though the AC would be off. In other words, with the system off and no air circulating, the heating circuitry was on. The repair bill was $250. At first, I thought maybe the Nest was not the culprit. However, a day after the heating relays, wiring and elements were replaced, the burning smell came back. I removed the nest thermostat and reinstalled my old thermostat and have not had any issues since. It's too bad, because I really liked the thermostat with it's wireless smart technology and functions. I will look into the ecobee next which comes with a power extender kit for those systems without a C wire.
