Highly recommend this thermostat. This is the 2nd Nest that I've purchased and couldn't be happier with the features. No C-Wire required either!

I think the core product itself is fantastic. It's literally like a volume knob for your home temperature. I think the ability of it to toggle on and off as you go in and out of your home is a great money saving green feature. I also think having the ability to set a zone of the temperature you would like is great and pre heating or pre cooling your home when leaving work is an added bonus. I do find that using the full extent of the application however is not the most user friendly. I am a techy so I figured it out but I had a hard time trying to set hours on the calendar. It is learnable but it will take a lot of getting used to for the less tech savvy.

The nest doesn't seem to want to control the A/C. And the hardest and frustrating part is that you can spend hours on the phone texting back and for with support and NO Answers. It does work well with the heat controls

Great gift. This really helps with comfort and energy saving.

As a disclaimer, we have no idea if a good product. We purchased three and were assured that the third party total tech could install. They couldn't. Our multizone house was too 'complex' to know how to install them. The wiring wasn't the issue. It would be good to have the install team and the sales team be on same page.

I had an old thermostat and the house was either too cold or too hot. The thermostat gives a piece of mind when it comes to reliability.

Perfect for my life. Living in a two story house makes this very convenient . Customer service at nest was great. Highly recommended

I would be SO content with this item if it supported Apple HomeKit, because the hardware is great! When I look at what's online regarding Nest's plans to support the HomeKit format, there's nothing. I'm planning to sell the item on eBay and get the Ecobee4.

It has started learning when I leaving and coming home so it adjusts the temperature for when I leave. So I have been saving energy from this

I love this item. I would say it's a little hard to install if you have a older house. Might need a pro to come out and finish install

I live in an apartment that was built 3 years ago. The connection type that I had did not work with this unit. Had to return it after hiring somebody to have a look at it. DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST.

More difficult to use than a basic thermostat. I can't run the fan without the unit turning on my AC. Not many custom options. Initially let down, but now that the price shock has worn off, it's not terrible. Still pretty cool to turn off or on from work.

Amazing all around. Love the Nest. This is my second Nest as I also own the Gen2. I can't go on a day without the Nest and the ease around the phone app.

Bought this to rave reviews. Started out being nice but it's more of a gadget than being a great thermostat. Yes it's nice being able to control via wifi on your smartphone, but I just started having way too many issues with it. Would come home and it would be 90 degrees in the house on a hot summer day. Would be blowing hot air when it should be cooling. Got to researching and numerous people were having this same issue. Called a HVAC tech and told me best use for these nest thermostats are in the trash. I tried and tied to really love this thermostat but just too many issues. I ended up going back to my old one, WITH NO ISSUES.

At 1st was skeptical but now that it’s learning very nice. Wake up and go to sleep in perfect temps. Will be excited to see what summer brings.

Nest did a good job building out a smart thermostat. With the smart link to the Nest smoke detector. Great way to protect your home.

Purchased over Christmas sale. Paid professional air conditioning installation as we just purchased new home. Upon install they noted the turn over from cool to heat does not convert properly due to defect in unit. Called Best Buy. Since >14d since purchase (was not even unboxed until +30d after purchase) they would not refund nor replace + we paid the air conditioning company $100 service charge. Out $325 and no functional thermostat. WILL NEVER AGAIN purchase from Best Buy. Sad to say- as we carry the Best Buy visa and were prior loyal customers. No reciprocated loyalty to their buyers. We have since canceled-

This was simple to follow the directions and set up. Although it was time consuming since I’m not a big tech person. I am only ok

Super convenient, easy to use and wallet friendly! I love that it saves us money and basically pays for itself. Wish we would have purchased sooner!

Slightly difficult learning curve jumping from an old digital to a smart thermostat but once you get it down it’s not bad.
