This is a great thermostat. Took about 10 minutes to install. Take a picture of your existing thermostats wiring so that you can easily look to see which colored wires go with which hookup on the nest. Works great through the app on my phone.

This is actually our third Nest Thermostat so, obviously, we love it. Why, then, only 4 stars? My ONLY complaint is they have an awkward scheduling system when you want to set the thermostat to automatically adjust the temperature based on the time of day, in particular if you use the “Heat-Cool” Mode (set a maximum heat and minimum cool range, like 72-69, and depending on the temperature in the home, the thermostat will automatically cool or heat your home. This is a fantastic feature which is hard to program by the hour/day, but once a day is set up to your liking, it can be copy/pasted to every other day to save time. If Google would figure out an easier way to select the temperatures (other than their sliding scale which moves both cool and hot at the same time, which may not meet your needs), this review would be 5 stars…

I have one for my downstairs and have been using it for almost 2 years. These are great, I was able to identify problems with my AC unit by monitoring the hour usage. This thing has saved me many dollars so I decided to replace the existing thermostat I have upstairs with a Nest. Just cannot say enough great things about it!

My mom is 90 and has problems with her vision and memory. I can totally control her A/C and heater from anywhere. This thermostat is awesome. It learns as you go. And I can check it on my iPhone. 100 miles away! Thank you!
