I would turn the air up while at work and it made a huge difference. Plenty of ways to help you save money, and automate your house warming/cooling. Amazing thermostat and would say every house should have one.

After I had it installed by a handyman, I had the Geek Squad come to my house to tell me if it was installed right and helped me program the thermostat. He said that it was really a cool product and he thought that he would purchase one.

It was not difficult to install but the programming confused me. Pay the extra and get someone to do it for you and explain how to use it from there.

Your Nest Thermostat has many settings to help you feel comfortable in your home. Hold temperature can maintain the current temperature or any of your presets. You can also set temperatures with a swipe of your thermostat’s touch bar. Nest Thermostats don’t have a touch screen. You can use the touch bar on the right side to control your thermostat. Swipe up to raise the temperature, swipe down to lower it, and tap to confirm. The display will show you how many minutes until your desired temperature is reached. I've used a programmable thermostat for years that wasn't user friendly. Nest takes it to a whole new level. IoT, ability to check and control from app remotely. Learns habits. Extremely easy to set up. Couldn't ask for much more.

I made the purchase when I discovered that when combined with my security system, it would give me outstanding energy savings. In just one month, the savings chart showed a large savings when compared to the area average. The Nest will pay for itself in "no time at all".
