Pros include the ability to monitor and control temperatures from the nest app. Cons include weird situations where the thermostat trains itself to drop to temperatures that you've never set and it seems to be about two degrees off from my previous Honeywell which forced me to adjust my temperature settings on the nest thermostat to compensate. But overall it's a pretty good gadget. Its quite expensive so I wouldn't run out and get it as a necessity, but if you can afford it then go for it.

It turned our that mice chewed up some wires in are AC, so we could have returned the nest, but we liked it so much that we decided to keep it. My wife and I have crazy work schedules and work different days each week, but the Nest didn't take long to program itself, as best as possible. It is also easy to read and manually program.
