    I needed to replace a Gen 2 Nest that was killed by a lightning strike. The new Gen 4 nest and sensor were pretty easy to install and setup. I am happy with these units and am considering upgrades to the other Gen 2 units I have.

    I wish I could give this a 4.5 rating but I'll round up to 5! I've always loved the Nest learning thermostat and have had the 3rd gen for years as well as the temp sensor! I travel a lot for work so it's always great for me to have it learn my habits as well as do the eco/away mode. And because heat rises, I love that I can put the temp sensor in my bedroom and have the nest use its temperature to keep me cool while I sleep. This new model is BEAUTIFUL!!! Google did a great job with the design and I love it! Highly recommend. My only complaint is that the screen is not as bright as the previous model and takes longer than expected to brighten up so you can't see the settings at a glance as easily as you can when you walk near it but it's not a deal breaker.

    The Google Nest thermostat is very cool looking and I am sure I would have loved it if I could have used it. After buying it and planning the installation I found that it is not compatible with my system. I returned it to Best Buy for a refund and was told they have a 15 day return policy. ??? Who else has that short of a return policy especially on items that require installation? It isn't likely to find an installer in that time frame, so beware. Despite the item being in perfect sellable condition and the cash receipt, they would only give me store credit. That is the reason for 3 stars.

    This Google nest is great and worth the investment. it helps to save energy and to keep the spaces at a temperature. when i forget to turn off the air conditioner, i love how i can do it remotely. Installation was easy, I found the YouTube tutorial to be more helpful than the guide. I love how I can set the temp and let it adjust while I am gone. I have had the nest set up for almost 2 months and I love the aesthetic and sleekness of this.. It has so many great features that are so helpful, such as, information about the amount of humidity in the house. This is quiet, sharp looking.

    Let's be honest, it's a thermostat! A very high quality one so I give it high marks for that. It's not the cheapest or easiest to use(to turn off the system at the device you have to navigate into the settings and find off), so it doesn't get a perfect score. The convenience of the app immediately allows you to be more comfortable and the extra sensor adds to that. You can use it as the primary and let the temperature follow you around the house! Lastly it won't magically make your old furnace more efficient. It will give you more control which should save you some money without trying.

    I live in an older home and there is always a huge temperature difference between my first and second floor. With this smart thermostat, I’m able to automatically adjust temperatures based on the times that I will be in either floor. This has relieved major annoyances I used to deal with on a daily basis. 100% recommend!

    The new generation of the Google-Nest learning Thermostat is much slimmer compare to the last generation. It give the house a modern look. I am not much a tech person, but it is so easy to use.

    I recently installed the Nest Thermostat in my home, and I’m extremely impressed with its performance. The design is sleek and modern, making it a perfect addition to any room. Setup was a breeze, with clear instructions and easy integration with my existing HVAC system. The best part is how intuitive and intelligent it is. The thermostat learns my habits within days and adjusts the temperature automatically based on my schedule. I love how it saves energy by turning itself down when I’m away, which has already reflected on my energy bill!     So let me start by saying I’ve been a long time nest user, this was used to replace an old unit that just got tired and worn out. We were ready to buy and saw that this new device was freshly released. It is very convenient that it comes with a remote temperature sensor for that one room that always seems to be a little hotter or colder than the main area. The display is nice to look at as well, there are a couple screen animations to choose from, one being weather that will show if it’s raining, or storming hard outside, so that’s pretty fancy. Overall it functions as you’d expect a fancy thermostat to do so. Overall a well done product.
