I like this, was very easy to set up and works with my nest app. Not overly sensitive, we replaced our kitchen one with this because you couldn't boil water without it going off. If you happen to set it off while cooking the app is easy to use to stop it. I think it works with Alexa too but havent tried it yet.

The nest protect has given us peace of mind. It connects to our phone and lets us know if there’s mobile or if everything is ok.

Great Smoke/CarbMon Alarm and easy to install. They have thought of everything and it comes in the box. I own several properties and I have this on all of them. I like that I get alerts if any alarm goes off right on my phone.. Really easy to setup with the app.

Super easy to install in my hallway. The app setup was just as easy too. The actual unit has a nice look and the voice is pleasant. When the lights are turned off in the house, it has a very pleasant night light that will get brighter and light your path when you are closer to it. A very cool feature.

Does sound checks, let's you know it's still working in the app. Never a question of if it will be there when I need it. Works as a night light in the hall where I have it. Much brighter than the earlier generation I have installed in another area

As easy to install as any battery powered smoke detector, but Wi-Fi setup was also simple and straight forward. Monthly email report with activity and test history, and connectivity and battery life status is a great feature. My kids like the motion sensor night light too. I've installed 3 and plan to install a few more.

This alarm is very easy to setup, and alerts you in a very intuitive way., It also includes nice features like a model light which illuminates where you are walking. You can monitor it';s status from anywhere using the excellent app. If you need a smoke and cm alarm, this is the one to get.

Purchased two units for my daughter's apartment. Installed one at each end of her place. Very easy to set up. Didn't realize they have motion sensing nightlights too. The other brand had several false alarms so we returned them and purchased these instead. Been a few months and so far so good.

Pros: Excellent functionality and design, easy to shut on and off with my phone. Cons: A little pricey...I should have a smoke detector on each level of my house (three levels) and I do...but I still need two more Nest Protects for consistency. Next Up: Nest Hello!!!

Nest protect is a great device. Love the nightlight feature. I have one setup on each floor of our house. Links tightly into the Google Nest ecosystem. Was easy to install albeit a bit finicky with WiFi.

Works great. Enjoy the nightlight feature very much. The bonus of being able to go into the app and shut it down when zealous cooking from the kitchen results in smoke is a step above standard detectors.

This is my fourth co/smoke detector. I also have the thermostat. I have been extremely satisfied with my Nest system! The design looks great in my home and I love the combination so that I don't have to have separate smoke detector/co detector! Receive updates on my iPhone!

Setup following instructions was straight forward, took about 10-15 minutes to do two. Definitely start with reading the instructions though. Product works as expected. I like that it lights up at night when you walk down the hall (just enough to see your steps, can be turned off if preferred).

This is an excellent must have device to have in your home. Pros: Internet connection, connects to other Nest protect devises in your home, in case of smoke or fire all devices report the alarm and also sends notifications to your smart phone. You can add other user to your account and both can get push notification. Initiates soundcheck once a month and notifies you before and after test. Customer service is one of the best! Batteries last for 10 years and notifies you of low battery. I have owned these devices for almost 11 years, recently replaced my Gen 1 with Gen 2 due to CO sensor expiration date.

love these for my house. i bought a couple of 3 packs to put them in all of our rooms. they work great. like the light on them and that they give you the green light at night letting you know they're working. kind of pricey.

So far so good. Install was easy. They are sensitive to smoke. Have one just outside our kitchen and it has warned us a couple of times that there was smoke. Easy to respond to with the app. No more clinging on chairs to silence an alarm

Super easy to set up within the nest family of products. Love the night light motion feature to avoid stepping on sleeping dogs. Plenty loud enough to wake the neighbors. Little bit pricey but feature rich.

This is the best smart smoke detector I have tested. I like the clarity of message when it detects smoke or carbon monoxide. I am all Apple Homekit but when it came to replacing my smoke detectors, I decided to go with Nest. I just wish it could with Homekit. It tells where the problem is and the type of problem, smoke or carbon monoxide and what to do. The communication between the units and the fact that it has battery powered option makes it possible to put it anywhere in your house. It is pricey though and lacks Homekit integration. Would love to see a version that works with homekit.

I installed four Nest Protects a few months ago and have been incredibly impressed thus far. PROS: - Easy installation. Everything you need is included in the box. After following a few basic steps in the Nest app, you use the included mounting plate to place the unit anywhere on your ceiling or wall. - The Pathlight is great for when you wake up late at night and don't want to turn on a light. - After six months of use, no false alarms. When I leave something on the stove or in the oven too long, the Nest Protect has detected the excess smoke every time. - Great integration with the Nest smartphone app. I love being able to get alerts from the Nest Protect units from anywhere in the world. - Seemingly great battery life. After six months of use, all four of my Nest Protects still report a "good" battery level. CONS: - None! The Nest Protect is well worth the price of admission, if only for the peace of mind. Highly recommended!

Easy mechanical install and setup with wifi was very simple. It is surprisingly useful at night in dark by lighting up when you are near the detector. The only minor improvements would be less lag on the historical data, Monday's data shows up on Wednesday and show the ppm CO level measured.
