Actually it is a little expensive than traditional smoke detector but it is still worthy based on the functions, especially phone notification when you are not home.

I have Next Protect in my home and I purchased this for my daughter when she and her family moved into their new house. I love the features and I get a lot of reassurance about the safety afforded by the system.

Nice product! Have been a Nest fan and finally added these with my other Nest products to make it integrate all together in the app. I like that it detects both smoke and carbon monoxide.

Very nice, recommend if you've already invested or want to invest in google products. Works well with google home app.

Nest does it again with flawless product design. This interface is great and being able to get alerts on my phone allows me to monitor my home without needing to have a dedicated fire alarm to a fire station. Its pretty sensitive is my only complaint but that is also a good thing. Very happy with all my google nest products even though they are a little pricey

If they dropped this to $75 range, I’d definitely recommend this one. It looks nicer than a traditional detector and I really like the motion activated light for the late night bathroom trips. I also that it’s talks in addition to alarm and that one can shut off for non emergencies (burning from bottom of oven) but it’s difficult to justify at this price since you really want one for each room in the home.

What else is there to say! These are surprisingly easy to install and work together to create a safe environment for my family. The units test themselves monthly to ensure they are working properly and if there is any concerns, an alert is sent to my phone indicating what the problem is. They even have a path light to guide you in the event of an emergency which also serves, at a dimmer level, a pathway during the night. Highly recommend these!

Has already paid for itself. I fire started in the kitchen, and as I had programmed it, the device made all Hue lights in the house flash red, called my cell phone, and triggered the home alarm.

Easy install and works great with Nest App. Works well in App along with my Nest Thermostats.

We like that the nest is rechargeable so this would be environment friendly. That’s on top of the savings from spending on batteries for smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector.

This is the replacement for the 1st generation Nest. Works great and picks up any smoke in the house. I like the integration with the Nest thermostat.

Hard to put a price on piece of mind... $100 dollars seems a bit steep at first, but once you realize everything it does, these are well worth the money. Plus it doubles as a nice night light with motion detection.

This is an awesome product . I have a smart home . I have the nest thermostat and now the nest fire alarm . I would recommend to friends , families and those who are considering having a smart house

They were very easy to install and connect. They do warn you if they will go off before they go off so you can shut them down if it was an accident. We have all been cooking and the smoke alarm gets set off by accident. This at least warns you before it goes off to disarm it. The only reason it gets a 4 and not a 5 is because the description says it has a temp sensor built in so I thought it would be like the thermostat room sensors but it is not. It means that if it gets hot due to fire it will shut the gas off. I was really hoping it would also have the room thermostat sensor actually built in. Reading the features it made it sound like it had it. If it didn’t say anything about it I would give it a 5/5 for being true to description.

Better than any other detector and alarm. Doesn't freak you out with loud noise. It sends you message on the phone and tells you with pleasant voice of the problem and that alarm will sound.

We needed some new smoke detectors in the house. Decided to get the combo because heard great things about it & wanted an updated carbon monoxide one. Absolutely love this one. It talks to you & works great!

We have kids afraid of the noise and chirping the regular detectors make. These are smart connected to my phone and we replaced all of our old style with these.
