As we have only had the smoke detector for a month there is not much to say. It looks nice an the instructions were clear enough. We have it installed and haven't had any issues.

Love the nest products, and this is no exception!!

I accidently left something on the stove and it boiled dry. The alarm immediately notified me on my phone that smoke was detected. I was able to easily take care of the problem.

Must have it, peace of mind for your family. I love it, it monitors smoke and carbon monoxide inside the home, sends messages to my phone with updates if there is a problem.

Product worked great. Much improved over the previous version. I would definitely recommend this if you are in the market for a new one.

Every smoke alarm should come with an LED flashlight built into it, like this product has. I know it seems like an expensive smoke alarm, but I highly recommend it.

I bought this for my son for his apartment at college. It is a great product and allows him to monitor what's up in his home without being there. Get a camera as well and you can monitor everything.

The device does the job it intends but does it smarter. Love the night light feature.

Easy Setup but integration a pain. Migrating from Nest to Google Home or Alexa is very cumbersome on standalone setups. The device itself works great

Very easy setup you only need WIFI. Make sure you have good WIFI in all of the areas the connection doesn't seem to great when I put one in my basement.

Very smart and intuitive, and easy to setup. If you can get them on sale, then it's worth the price. Lots of cool features that integrate with other Nest products. I wish they doubled as a Home speaker, though... seems like an easy feature to add. Make sure you use the recommend batteries, or it'll fly through other batteries.

I added this as a way to help reduce my health insurance. On top of that I tested this out with my bad cooking...works great!!

I went round and round as to whether or not I wanted to get smart smoke detectors/CO detectors. Research showed they did a good job on their tests, and the fact that they network, display battery status, talk, and do push notifications was a plus. It took me a while to get past the cost hurdle between these and regular detectors. That said, install was very simple on the app, and the self tapping drywall screws were great. You do need at least a powered screwdriver and we actually needed to haul out the drill to get ours. Voice is clear and alarm tones are noticeable. You really need to have more than one of these to have it make sense, and you've got to make sure they network together. Not worth it if cost is your highest priority, but if you're a little flexible, a 3 pack of these on sale is worth it.
