I replaced all of the smoke detectors in my house to the Nest smart smoke/carbon alarms. An aboslute breeze to install and sync to the nest hub/app. I also love how each detector can be personalized and if it detects smoke or carbon it will announce from which room. These also have amazing lighting features. Color coded lights allow you to know the battery health, then another really cool feature is the walk way lighting. They dimly light up once the detector detects motion and helps guide you through your home. My only disappointment and its not even a major thing (provides evidence that it works), is how senstive the smoke detection is. Frying food on my skillet or cast iron often makes my kitchen detector go off.

easy setup, nice integration with the Nest app. Unfortunately these detectors are built to stop working 10 years from date of manufacture and I got one that was already a year old from BB and they wouldn't do anything about it. I am not aware of a way to tell how old the detector is without opening the box.

I find it convenient that I can manage this with the Nest app. It makes it easy to test and see status without having to grab a stool or a ladder.

Great unite and easy to set up. As I live in an all electric house, I don't have to worry about CO gas. But the rest of it is great. The night light especially when you walk by it in the dark.

This alarm only took me 10 minutes to install. I already have a nest so setup and detection was simple. I'm happy I bought this, much nicer than a plain old smoke alarm.

I was hesitant to buy this as suggested by my neighbor as I already have several smoke detectors around the house. After a while, I decided to buy this Nest product and installed it in between the living room and kitchen. One day I was frying and created smoke in kitchen that my smoke detectors did not give alarm but the Nest product did! It also gives time to fan out the smoke to avoid sounding alarm, Gives me monthly report on my Nest performance. The light on this detector serves as a nice night light when lit and no more Carbon Manoxide worries in the house. Glad I got this Nest Detector.

easy to install and program. At top of steps on second floor and the light definitely helps, hopefully will not have to find out how well in heavy smoke. Beautiful design. Will be getting another.

Did a lot of research and waiting for the newer version since the old ones had lots of false alarms. Have a few of these and no false alarms for close to a year. Easy to install and set up.

Very pleased. 1 false alarm so far due to wife's cooking, but we were able to silence the Nest and teach it so that it won't accidentally go off again. Super easy to install and set up

Really easy to install app and setup. Whole setup and installing to ceiling took maybe 15 minutes. The night light is really nice and convenient. Great addition to my smart home.

Purchase as a replacement for a standard Smoke only detector. East setup, great features including the WIFI ability, and even a cool night light that lights just enough as you walk by...

I am very pleased with everything from looks to the high tech gadget. Simple to use and love the app specifically for it. Really is reliable have tested it and it does what it ssys!

Integrated fast and easy into my existing nest product line. Ability to sense presence as part of the nest network (like making thermostat know someone’s home) is excellent. Feel safer knowing covered for both smoke and CO2. Install took only minutes and no wiring with excellent battery life. Path light is a real plus at night as a integrated nightlight.

I admit. I like products from Nest. I own a couple. But Best Buy had the best price and delivered it faster than any other place I had searched. Even Amazon could not beat the price or delivery speed. Best Buy has really got their Product, deliver and service model up to snuff. But the unit works great. I have had no issues with it at all and it was easy to install. It tests itself for me once a week and sends me a message on my Cell Phone letting me know it's good working order. That's piece of mind for sure.
