Easy install. I really like the app, shows battery levels and has a push alert. Also works with my wink hub.

Packaging is great quality like an Apple product! Device is very easy to set up using the Nest App. I added this to other Nest products which was even easier. The Nest set its left up in less than two minutes. You can check it's status with the app but all receive a monthly report via email which shows how the Nest is working and if there are any problems. Also we like the nightlight feature which lights the area it's located when it detects a person. Such a good product we bought a 2nd one.

I really like having this thing. My house got pretty smokey while cooking bacon. Instead of a shrieking beep sound, I heard a pleasant voice say "There is smoke in the living room, alarm will sound". And I could just press the button before it ruined my dog's day. I love that it also sends an alert to my phone when anything is detected. No more assuming I'm going to return from vacation to find a pile of ash where my house was! Considering getting another to replace an upstairs detector as well.

Easy to install and operate with phone app. Like being able to silence from my phone and the motion activated night light is great.

Owned a few of these and they're such a relief in small apartments where any amount of kitchen smoke sets off the fire alarms. Much prefer the voice saying "The alarm will sound. The alarm is loud." giving me time to silence the alarm before it actually goes off versus the immediate beeping of my old smoke alarms. My dog appreciates it too. Easy to install and setup.

After we almost burnt the house down by leaving a tea kettle on the hot stove when we went away for the weekend, I decided we needed something with alerts to my phone. My daughter loves hers so I bought two for my home. I now have Nest security cameras, a nest thermostat, smoke detectors, and the door lock all on my Nest app on my cell phone. Gives me peace of mind when I’m not home.

My good people. First I was a little hesitant to buy because of the price difference cause you can buy any smoke detector for under 30$ but to my amazement this little google device has changed the way I invest in buying home automation and security. Definitely worth spending extra. With the added option and peace of mind you get. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to buy quality over quantity.

If you don't want a home monitoring service but want good protection when your away the Nest is the best product out there. If you live in a two story home like me and have a smoke detector on every floor the Nest gives you the earilest warning you can get with wireless connectivity between detectors. If, let's say the basement detector sense smoke, Fire or CO, every detector alarms in your home sounds and tells you what and where the problem is located. As a Lieutenant on the Fire Department I can tell you that early warning can make the difference of getting out safely with your entire family in today's world of synthetic material fires. Current code requires hard wired battery back up interconnected smoke and CO detectors in new construction, this is because detectors that sound in one part of the house may not be loud enough to alert people sleeping in another part. Early detection saves lives, nest does this with this product. You are the monitoring service when the alarm sounds. An alert is sent to your smart phone or email notifying you of the problem. If you have their camera, it automatically records the event and you can see live what's going on. This make it the best detector in my opinion.

Had our first smoke alert due to oven smoke. The detector alerted me on my phone in which room it was happening and the alarms voice alert you which room the smoke is in and what the alert is for. I was able to quickly mute the alarm from my phone and calm the kids without having to climb a chair to fan it. This product is well worth the money. Also, it lights up a walkway when you walk in front of it so if you get up in the night it will detect you and light up the area!

Easy installation and set up. Great peace of mind to be able to view the status and test from the app. Gonna purchase at least one more.

I love all of the Nest line up. I have all of there products in our home and this was the first, the one that got it started. It's easy to setup. Before purchasing I do recommend remvo No old one to be sure if it's wired or battery powered. It's so much better the loud siren that was a regular as dinner was being burned. It can be controlled via app. I feel it's safer because I believe it's better made-made the Nest way! Can't go wrong, I have three already and it will soon be four.

I bought the Nest Thermostat 3rd generation and installed that first. After returning to the store, I saw this device and was intrigued, so I did a little more research. The draw for me was the smart features of this device that enable it to send notifications to your smart device if issues occur. For me, I feel reassured when I am away from home for extended periods knowing that the device will notify me of any disturbances. Also, like other Nest products, this device takes 5-10minutes to setup.

So intuitive and great features like nightlight feature. Communication through phone app is outstanding

I bought this for my upstairs. I had recently bought the nest thermostat too. So I wanted to keep everything with the same app so I wouldn’t have a bunch of apps for smart home things. The setup was very easy. It does weekly sound checks and sends notifications to you if there is any issues or alarms. After having it for a week I went out and bought another one for my basement. I highly recommend this product.
