Easy to install, looks great, and the nightlight feature makes it more than just a detector.

I now have 5 Protects and one Nest Thermostat and am pretty pleased with them so far. I have integrated them with SmartThings using community device handlers to get the best of both systems. I was hoping that the protects would be ok for a location near my kitchen (as they are photoelectric) but they are sensitive enough to go off from cooking bacon. They are very easy to silence from the app, however even when silenced they trigger lights if you have that integrated. I will be moving that unit farther from the kitchen as a result.

This is my third Nest Google fire alarm. I now have one on each floor. A big plus is the warning that announces what floor the smoke is occuring through all the units. You know exactly where the problem is. The motion activated night light is super convienient as well. High quality, professional grade in my opinion.

Incredibly easy to install and set up wireless to ipad Mini3. Has motion detection nightlight with low or high brightness or can be turned off if you have wandering pets at night. I installed and programmed very easily, three units in an hour. I can't believe how nice these are. Really well made. I would highly recommend them and I have purchased some for my daughters condominium as well.

A breeze to setup. Love the warning system. The nightlight function works perfectly. I will definitely buy more of these.

I bought this device to replace the previous smoke alarm I had in part because I liked the feature to wave off any false positives. So far, this device has been the best one I have ever had for smoke. It was easy to setup and so far no false alarms unlike the previous smoke alarm.

A breeze to install. It's what a Smoke/CO detector should be. Helpful, thoroughly self checking, humane operation ("an alarm is about to go off ...). Two things would make it perfect. 1. A way to hook it up to a monitoring station. Old not-smart smokes had a red interconnect wire that allowed alerting a monitoring service. 2. Make it smaller and thus less visible.

If you want to feel a little safer when you are home or away from your home this is a great item to have. I don't have to worry if my fur babies or kids are safe or not as well. It also has a nite light when walking by to show me the way when it is dark, very helpful It test itself once a month so I know all is good. It also alerts your cell phone if any alarms are detected. I can't say enough about this product. A breeze to install. love it!

I really enjoying having this in my home. It was really easy to install, and while luckily I have not had to use this, or it has not gone off yet, being able to check the status of my home while I'm away is very comforting. The light on it is super helpful when I just need to go outside in the hallway for a quick second. One of the downsides like with any wireless device is the Wi-Fi connection - if you lose internet than this thing will not operate remotely.

I love how it integrates into the Nest app and it is pretty great to see the lights on it depending on what’s happening. And also, you cannot lower the voice of the lady who screams that there is smoke in the house from the speaker. I read online it is a safety feature I guess. But once the alarm has started, you are then allowed to mute it.

If you are sick of your smoke alarm going off every time you burn toast and you get nervous when you travel about fires or CO2 leaks in your house than this is the gadget for you. This state of the art smoke and CO2 detector can easily be shut off when going off for a little burnt pizza. You can shut if off with an easy press of a button right on the device or from your smart phone. You can also be alerted to fires or COs leaks on the road with your cell phone. Cutting edge tech for your home.

i bought a few of these for my new home. very cool looking. was a little pricey but looks like I wont mind in the long run.

All our smoke alarms started dying in our home and we already have a Nest cam and 2 nest theromstats so I was excited to try this product out. I love that I can easily see that the product is working. We have vaulted ceilings so I really love that I can run a test on the system from my phone. We put one in our baby's room and I feel like I have piece of mind that she is protected. I ended up buying a second one to have in our downstairs.

I've attempted many battery power alarms, that always seemed to fail prematurely. Many of them would beep as if the batteries had failed even when they were just replaced. The Nest Protect is rather heavier due to it's 6 batteries, but it also regularly tests itself with a green ring of light (passing), and notifications sent to an app that can be loaded to a smart phone or tablet. It also allows for a nightlight that conveniently turns on when people walk near it.

Love it , just converted to gas and wanted something that conect to my google home it is a bit pricey but I love it and feel secure

This is my second and third Nest Protects for my home, and I will buy a couple more to round out the house. I really like that they have interconnect ability, so that even in the event of a fire and the electric/wifi goes out, they will still talk to each other and alert accordingly. Installation and setup are simple and straight forward, and is definitely worth it for the piece of mind and the extra functionality added to the Nest Thermostat.

Very easy to install. We have a Nest thermostat and already had an account but it was very easy. I like the night light.

easy setups ,little pricey ,it works nice when connected to other nest units and the nest app works nice

So easy to setup, does it’s own regular testing too. A little pricey, but worth the peace of mind.

There isn't much to say about a smoke detector, but I have this in a dark hallway and it has a night light. Also, I like being able to check on it when I am away from home.
