This is my Second NEST Protect (gen 2) and it works as advertised. It's nice to have battery powered detectors that form an internal network even when the house loses power. So far over the past 2 years I've had no issues.

Works great. Installed on boat, connected to wifi and sends alerts to my phone. Easy to silence when cooking.

Nest Smoke Detector came just as described from the Store. Would purchase them again.

Overall I would recommend this product to people it was very easy to set up I also really enjoy the illumination feature at night it's really added another element to our home. Helps for trips throughout house during those hours.

Both of the Nest smoke alarms were easy to install and set up. They link to the Nest thermostats I have as well. The feature that is very useful and unexpected is the motion detector being able to turn on a night light at night.

If you are in the market for a carbon monoxide and smoke alarm, this is a great option. A little pricy compared to other alarms, but it is wonderful. The added nightlight is a nice touch on top of the main features.

This detector is one of the best and inexpensive investments I have ever made. Not only is it a potential life-saver, it's not a gaudy, outdated detector I'm used to seeing. Highly recommended for those who would rather be safe than sorry.

It is so nice knowing we are protected not only while we are at home but we know when it tests itself anytime and all alerts on our phones. We never have to worry. Set up is really easy and works well with my nest thermostat. Highly recommended.

The Nest detectors are really worth the money imo...they run a diagnostic check once a month. If you install the Nest app, you get a low battery alert, a monthly test alert, and most importantly, an alert if something is wrong (I know, our CO2 alarm went off because a car in our attached garage ran too long before we backed out, and I got an alert on my phone and watch, and all detectors inside were communicating as to where the problem was coming from.

The price of having a smoke detector and carbon monoxide alarm is definitely worth it in this high tech model. Everything controlled and monitored from your phone provides some nice convenient access and assurance that all is ok.

We needed new smoke detectors and decided to complete our Nest Home with these. Dead simple set up, great product. Super happy with them. Five stars.

We have been gradually replacing all smoke detectors with nest. No issues with installation or connection with wifi. It autochecks itself once a month. The nest app is very friendly and alerts up with a 'headup' if there is accumulating smoke to open the windows/doors before the alarm goes off. The main reason we invested in nest smoke detectors is because of the alert on the app for when we are out on vacation. The home security does not alert the agency or fire station for fire alarms - I think most do not - so this is a good feature to protect your home/investment.

Easy set up with the Nest app . This is the second Nest Protect device I have purchased and is used in conjunction with original Nest Protect I have had installed 4 years ago.

Everything Nest creates and sells is nothing short of amazing. From the packaging to the simplicity of installation and the ease of the app. No more annoying beeps in the middle of the night! LOVE LOVE LOVE this product!

The Nest family of products is fully integrate with a mobile app that makes it simple to install and maintain. I see everything on one screen - my thermostat, camera and smoke alarm/CO2 alarm. Easy install with plenty of help messages.

Setup was easy, happy that I can get notifications to my phone if something is happening at home and I'm not there. Also like the idea that a voice will come in just before the alarm so it doesn't disorient me.

Easy menu driven install, user friendly. Wireless powered versions have surprising battery life. Voice alarms clearly audible.
