wish it wasn't so much money. even though i have switched away from nest products due to all the changes before google bought nest and after; i will still keep this.

This was very easy to set up and install in my house. The night light and self test features are fantastic. I would highly recommend this for anyone who needs to replace their smoke / CO detectors.

Had this for about a month and it’s been great. Lets me or my wife silence the alarm from our phones before it even sounds an alarm. It will also send notifications straight to our phone through the nest app.

We live in an apartment and one night our CO alarm went off. We have a young infant and of course evacuated the apartment and called maintenance. They came and said it was the battery, My wife was not 100% about it being the battery and decided to purchase the Nest. This allowed us to put in our infants room to ensure everything was safe for her. It paired right up to our ios app and tested right away. It has been that one tool you forget about but we know if anything does come up our family will be safe.

Besides being able to sync with my Google Home/Nest, probably the best smart Smoke/Carbon Monoxide alarm in the market. Another nice design from Google, A+ product.

Easy installation on any four square electrical box or you can set it up with a box. Just screw the support bracket where ever you choose in your ceiling. Works as a motion detector light light too.

I purchased a three story home with 7 existing smoke detectors......there was no protection in the garage though where combustion engines and carbon monoxide are; now there IS and it was so easy to install

Bought these to replace the Gen 1 Protects. I like these as they integrate well with my Starling Home Hub which connects them to HomeKit.

I have purchased two previous and I really do like the ease with which they can be set up. The fact that they are interconnected and can specifically inform someone where the fire is in the household could be a lifesaver.

This is great product that I need for my family's safety. I'm deaf and this Nest device would warn me in my smartphone if it sense smoke in my house. It work great and did warned me a smoke when I was cooking breakfast. Love it

Purchased these to supplement the smoke and carbon dioxide detectors we already have. They interconnect and work well. A little pricy though.

The Nest smoke / carbon monoxide detector was VERY easy to install & connect to my Nest software on my iPhone. Even though we have wired smoke detectors in our townhouse, I somehow feel safer having bought & installed the Nest detector. I really like that I can test it on the device or my phone, & I also like how long-lasting the battery is. I would clearly recommend this to others.

the unit was very easy to set up. I was already using a 1st gen Nest and everything is easy to control and in same App. I like being able to see what is going on if necessary and receive alerts if there is an issue.

Nest is the best. Smoke detectors or thermousstat. I feel very secure with nest products. I purchased three smoke detectors and they were a breeze to install. Very happy with them.

Works exactly as you want it to—do everything from the app. It alerts you to any problems at your home, even when you’re thousand of miles away! What more could you want?

I have purchased numerous Nest Protect Smoke & Carbon Detectors for my home, business, and othe family members homes. So easy to setup and no more annoying beeping when battery gets low. Totally worth the money....

I have been running these alarms for as long as nest has been out with them and they are flawless and easy to install. I really love the path lighting which is adjustable.

Have Nest Protects throughout the house, love the simplicity of having everything connected as well as having the ability to silence the alarm from my cell phone.

I have dogs at home, so I really wanted some thing that would alert me if there were any issues. So far so good have not had to use it at all. I didn’t think I was gonna like that light that comes on at night, but it’s not very bright, but it illuminates the hallway when you walk by, which is nice. It is only on for several seconds until you pass by.
