We bought the battery operated Nest and love it! It was so easy to install and mount. It does self checks, and gives us all info on the app. I love the pathway night light feature as well. Great product for the money!

Easy setup! Great functionality! Love the "wired" setup. I have 4...one for each room plus the kitchen and they work great. I use with the wink hub but is definitely not necessary as the nest app is great as a standalone.

Easy to install. Clear walk-through step by step instructions. Product has useful smart features that allows me to monitor the premises while we are away.

Bought it last year and really appreciate the motion detector auto night light in hall when walking toward bathroom in dark. Also a fire alarm too. Nice product. Will get another for upstairs this Black Friday

Works great! Setting up multiple alarms from my phone was super easy. They have a test option that let's you know when or if there are any issues. Worth it!

I love that it does not go off every time I use my oven like a traditional smoke detector. Integration with my Nest app is seamless.

I bought this 3-pack to replace standard battery-powered smoke detectors that had reached their 10-year end-of-life in three of our bedrooms. I already had six of these placed in other areas of the house. I really like their ability to communicate to each other, even if internet and wi-fi is down, and the voice alerts. The monthly health check that each unit performs each month is reassuring, and I especially like the smart features so I know which ones might be off-line. I've come to appreciate the night light feature as well. There is a price to pay for the always-connected aspect of these detectors, though, which is the same for any smart appliance like Nest or Ring cameras and hubs (I have a lot of those too), and that is that modem/routers have only so much capacity and that limit can easily be reached. I found that I hit the max upload capacity (channels) of my modem/router that I was renting from my cable company after installing these 3 detectors. All of a sudden my Tivo (another smart device) couldn't connect to its service and all of its smart features stopped working. Smart devices like these Nest Protect detectors and cameras tend to grab onto an outgoing channel and hang on to it, and there was no longer room for the Tivo to get to the internet. I didn't want to unplug any of our smart devices, so I had to upgrade my modem/router, and now everything works great.

Great Product, I love having this in my home, it syncs with all the smoke detectors and loud/clear. Another great feature is the lighted pathway sensors on these. You can control it through the app and it's also quick to notify of any alarms. Only downfall is that it's pretty pricey, but worth it in the end should last 10 years.

Easy set up, great safety features! Love how it works as a nightlight and pathfinder as well as carbon monoxide and smoke detector. It even notifies you when your not home and sets off warning notice to your phone.

With a Google Smart home setup, this is a welcome addition, peace of mind and easy to setup.. Safety first.

Great product that you never have to think about. This is the best smoke detector available but is also the most expensive. Worth the price for me.

The nest protect is easy to install. I replaced a 15 to 20 year old regular smoke detector with this so I now have confidence that it is really working.

Very easy to set up and use with nest and my google home. I like the peace of mind of having my home protected and the ability to monitor remotely. I loved it so much that I purchased two more.

Easy to set up..... Peace of mind... I replaced multiple old school smoke detectors after purchasing a new home. Carbon monoxide +smoke with smart home functionality.... Can't go wrong! Stay safe!

I like the feature that links to your phone and send you instant messages to warn you if the smoke or Carbon Monoxide detection was activated. Also the feature that turns on a light at night when senses movement is great.

We have the Nest thermostat and love it so we decided to get the smoke alarms as well to add to the Nest family. I absolutely love it it's very easy to set up an install and I can check on them and run tests wherever I am.
