I really like these. I use other Nest products and its nice seeing everything in one place. They do a self check that always startles me but its nothing that bothers me. I use them stand alone, not integrated into a Smart Home. Don't need Google stealing more info then they need to.

I already have a wired nest protect and got this second one during a sale. I completely forgot to verify wired or battery and accidentally got the battery version. It’s ok because it still works but I have power at all my existing smoke alarms so wired units make more sense. I will just have to wait and see how long the batteries last. They are energizer lithium.

This is the best smoke alarm we have ever owned. Easy Setup, and works well with other nest protects.

If you hate fire and carbon monoxide - or fear both of them - this is the detector for you. Does exactly what it states, and looks good while doing it. Highly recommend multiple of these for your home.

This thing does it all! Even tells you when everything is OK. Links with all other Nest products.

the night lite is great. the app is also great too

It is great how it can pair with your nest thermostat and let it know if youre home or not. I also love the pathway lights at night. The only downside, is if you have animals, it will give a false impression that someone is home to the nest thermostat.
