I use these as motion sensors for my nest thermostat to help with learning. The ability to have notices for smoke/CO events to my phone is pretty nice as well.

With all the different alarms and technology available I was skeptical at first whether or not the Nest Alarm was worth the money, but it has been a life saver! We had a small kitchen fire that our normal detector didn't pick up, but Nest did immediately, and we were able to control it before it turned into a bigger issue. I will be replacing every detector throughout my home with these.

I purchased this for aging parent that forgets things occasionally and burns things on the stove. I get a notification if there is a problem so I can check in. Four stars because the price is probably a little high.

We have these all over our home and they integrate well together. While it’s simply a smoke and carbon monoxide detector, the fact that you can view its status while away its where the value is. We put it with our ring system (ring listener) and provides us that extra piece of mind when we are away.

Easy to install and gives piece of mind when leave the dogs at home during the day.

This is our 3rd Nest Protect, the first two were wired in our main house but we converted our garage into a guest house with full kitchen and bathroom so having protection out there was important but not having planned in our renovation for this wiring was a huge oversight on our part, luckily Nest offers a battery version...now if they'll only do the same with the doorbell!
