I bought two of the Nest Protect 2 on a recommendation for adding smoke/CO detection. Luckily I haven't had any reason to be alerted by them, but having an internet link to be able to see they are always monitoring is a nice piece of mind.

Bought another one to put in our son's room. We already have two in our house and this was a natural addition. The app is super easy to use. The detector gives us peace of mind at home and away with the app.

other than the batteries dying this thing works great, set up was easy, a must have for the CO detector if you have a gas fireplace or furnace.

Little pricey but easy to setup and works very well. Like the device and would recommend

It's great that it's a smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector in one. I like the idea of being able to be notified from the app when something wrong is happening. It's also nice you can silence it with the button if it's a false alarm.

I installed three of these devices in my home about 2 months ago. Yesterday was the first time that we had an actual alarm. We burned toast in our toaster and all three alarms began alerting us that there was "smoke in the kitchen". Very nice. It really works.

I want to start off by saying that no one NEEDS a smart smoke/CO2 detector. At $100, it is much more expensive than the "dumb" alternatives. However, I recently got one for 25% off and if you already own other smart home items, it can be a welcome addition to your home. It looks good in a modern kitchen but this is one product I hope I don't have to "use" too often. If you need multiple for your home it can be cost prohibitive, but over time, if you find a deal like I did I recommend it for the tech geek in your life.

I love how it updates me when there is a problem but is not like a traditional detector and annoying with every hint of smoke from cooking.

This is one of the best smoke/carbon monoxide detector. It provides very clear setup instructions. One of the best feature is that one can turn off alarm from smart phone. It also sends monthly email about the activity on this Nest Smoke/carbon monoxide detector.

great smoke detector. Easy to install in the wall and app in the iPhone. Automatic battery checks are also very convenient.

Love being able to set temperature from my phone. Can turn up or down so when I get home house is cozy or cool. Also a definite plus when on vacation. Then monthly reports are helpful too. Our utility bills have dropped since installing.

I am very happy with this purchase because it’s both a smoke an co2 detector. If anything happens I will get an alert on my phone so even away from home I can keep an eye and ear on my property. If price goes down I may buy another one.

The upgrades are cute, that’s all. But I like it. The nest informs if there’s a problem in the area where it’s located. Additionally, when away you will be informed if there’s a problem. Liberty Mutual may still have a rebate for this product.

Easy to configure and to get it working. Hope will be reliable.

We heard about this from a friend. If it wasn't for this his house would of burned down, it caught smoke in time to prevent the small fire from spreading. Nest gives me a piece of mind knowing it'll alert me if anything is going on specially in the kitchen.

Excellent smart smoke/carbon monoxide alarm. I do like the illumination feature that senses movement at night and lights up the area just enough to see.

We have three of these in the house and enjoy the piece of mind they provide while we are away. Have a couple of nice feature like path light at night and constantly testing themselves. They integrate well with the rest of the Nest products.

There is no more figuring out which smoke alarm is set off. No more figuring out which alarm is chirping. You can see everything on the app. Battery operated is nice for those areas where there is not a prewired connection.

Apparently my showers are too hot and steamy because every time I take one this thing goes off. It’s outside my bathroom door but not right outside. Apparently the cheap one that I replaced this with doesn’t have that problem. I’m going to have to figure out how to relocate. Would be grateful if they could figure out a way to disable the monitor and mf-ing beeps without having to remove the batteries. Tried using app but that’s not a possibility. Also terribly disappointed that my downstairs monitor went off too late when an actual fire started on my stovetop. I started to smell something funny while in my living room and then walked into the kitchen and saw my oven mitts were on fire on the stovetop. Quickly put it out and then that’s when the monitor went off. Right outside my kitchen and yet it would not have gone off until things most likely would have been really bad.
