works well i have it in my basement. i have other nest products and the app is easy to use

I bought this for my son for his apartment at college. It is a great product and allows him to monitor what's up in his home without being there. Get a camera as well and you can monitor everything.

Best smoke detector I have had. Very innovative. Great to use.

I went round and round as to whether or not I wanted to get smart smoke detectors/CO detectors. Research showed they did a good job on their tests, and the fact that they network, display battery status, talk, and do push notifications was a plus. It took me a while to get past the cost hurdle between these and regular detectors. That said, install was very simple on the app, and the self tapping drywall screws were great. You do need at least a powered screwdriver and we actually needed to haul out the drill to get ours. Voice is clear and alarm tones are noticeable. You really need to have more than one of these to have it make sense, and you've got to make sure they network together. Not worth it if cost is your highest priority, but if you're a little flexible, a 3 pack of these on sale is worth it.

Excellent product. Works great with my other nest devices. Communicates with my iPhone. It helps me rest easy when out of town.

Great smoke detector. Lets me know when dinner is done every night. Even when I'm not home.

Very impressed with this device. Has the ability to test itself everyday(silently of course), and shows a log of its results. Great of peace of mind.

It works like a charm, sends alert notification and voice when a smoke was detected and i was able to deactivate coz i was there. Else it will alert more and will send a loud alarm.

Fantastic product, light up area at night when walking in dark and warns ahead if fire alarm going to sound which is awesome because I can shut it off before its starts beeping when cooking.

replaced my old smoke detector. this way when i'm not home i can still check if something caught on fire. or something went wrong. i live close by so if it goes off i can be home within 5 mins.

Best smoke and carbon monoxide detector i've seen. If you're serious about protection from smoke and carbon monoxide in your home you can go wrong.

Installed this not far from our kitchen and only problem is that it goes off a lot when we’re cooking. Better to have it too sensitive than not sensitive enough though. I love that it sends a notification to our phone whenever there is a problem, and so worth the upgrade from a traditional smoke alarm.
