I have always loved the Nest product. I sure do wish Apple bought them instead of Google, but so far I haven't had any problems with the software.

Nice to have a co2 detector and smoke alarm all in one with a night light.

I really like how these work together -- if the basement detects smoke it can also sound the top floor smoke detectors. The app functions great to alert you to any problems if you are away from home. The nightlight feature is a great addition -- when walking through the hallway at night, it lets out just enough light to see where you are going, but not affect your night vision.

it detected smoke in the kitchen and sent a message to my phone. worked just like it was supposed to. highly recommend!

I got this to replace an older Smoke alarm and to get a carbon alarm. So far so good! It doesn't go off every time I take a shower or cook.

If you have a nest thermostat then this is excellent product because they communicate together. If you have a leak from your furnace the Nest is told to shut down the furnace.

Bought to replace a different connected smoke detector that used to go off or disconnect for no reason. This one has been rock solid.

So far this fire alarm has provided a great experience, alerts are not as annoying as other fire alarms.The mobile app is simple and easy to use. Will be getting one for each floor.

When purchased the batteries were low and had to replace. The sensors are far better than others. I burnt food will cooking non of the other detectors picked up the smoke the nest protect which is in the hallway upstairs picked it up.

Never thought of something as utilitarian as a co/smoke detector could add aesthetic value to my home. Purchased two so as to never have to hard wire my detectors together.

Love that I get a warning before the actual beeping goes off and the motion activated light is a plus. Waiting to see how long the batteries last using the light. Set up was a breeze.

Nest Protect is also my buddy just like the Nest Thermo. It checks for smoke, CO and in general all evil. It yells at us (very loudly) in a beautiful female voice. Nice!
