Bought this to replace an old school detector that died. Fortunately it hasn't been put to the test yet but the status emails and tests are good reminders that it is working.

I previously had a Nest Thermostat, and wanted to upgrade my wired Smoke Alarms. This works great and I love how it adds an extra temperature and motion sensor to my Nest system.

The NEST protect is one of my many NEST products I have in my home/business. Its great to have that added security of the NEST protect while I'm gone and at home.

Integrated motion activated night light is a great plus. Though I found setup a bit finicky I was able to complete the process with six units without calling support. With respect to basic setup, my main complaint is that on naming units, suffix terms such as "Bedroom one" are not decoded by its voice system. This review is for Version two.

This is a nice smoke detector plan to get another one soon.

I love that we can remotely check on our home and know our dogs are safe when we're not there. Also the path light feature is amazing. I love using path light at night.

Perfect if you like Google stuff. It's just a little bit more than normal alarms and this one keeps you posted. Much better!

It’s amazing how this smoke detector works on nest app. Especially when your away and you still get a notifications when something goes wrong

Love having these. We no longer need separate smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and we don't have to change the batteries twice a year.

these have worked well and hooked up to wifi 6 when I upgraded my internet

The ease of setup is reasonable, but the true value is in what it does locally, clearly, without nightly interruptions (low battery), and via the Nest app.

Works great..just a reminder that the carbon monoxide detector does have an expiration date

Cool, not your ordinary smoke alarm.. Comes with a battery, has the option to see the status on the app... I looked at many homes for sale, none had anything this cool.

This is an incredible product. It gives more comfort than a normal detector as your phone gets alerts and no more low battery beeps in the middle of the night.

Can’t be more pleased with the safety this adds to my home. I did not remove my pre-wired detector and added two of these for the added peace of mind.

great smoke detector, also detects carbon monoxide and can also alert based on noise profile. i hope to never find out the full ability!

We have other Nest products in our home and this is a perfect compliment. Easy to set up and see all within one app.
