Love this nest smoke alarm and carbon dioxide. It actually tells you where the smoke is coming from etc... it does test alerts periodically which I love as well

I purchased one and quickly purchased another. Love that they sync to each other and that I get notifications if I am away from home and something sets them off.

So far, it has lived up to my expectations. The smart features are non existent but that is because this is the best product that doesn't really utilize those features.

Have 4 in my house the sync up with eachother amd work perfectly

Bought this to replace an old school detector that died. Fortunately it hasn't been put to the test yet but the status emails and tests are good reminders that it is working.

The NEST protect is one of my many NEST products I have in my home/business. Its great to have that added security of the NEST protect while I'm gone and at home.

I previously had a Nest Thermostat, and wanted to upgrade my wired Smoke Alarms. This works great and I love how it adds an extra temperature and motion sensor to my Nest system.

It’s amazing how this smoke detector works on nest app. Especially when your away and you still get a notifications when something goes wrong

We have other Nest products in our home and this is a perfect compliment. Easy to set up and see all within one app.

Integrated motion activated night light is a great plus. Though I found setup a bit finicky I was able to complete the process with six units without calling support. With respect to basic setup, my main complaint is that on naming units, suffix terms such as "Bedroom one" are not decoded by its voice system. This review is for Version two.

Love the peace of mind this gives me. I know my home and pets are safe rather I'm home or not.

This is a nice smoke detector plan to get another one soon.

Love having these. We no longer need separate smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and we don't have to change the batteries twice a year.

I love this. It actually works. I like that I can be alerted on my phone even when I am not home

I love that we can remotely check on our home and know our dogs are safe when we're not there. Also the path light feature is amazing. I love using path light at night.

The alarm is intelligent in the fact that it tests its self every day. I also like the feature were when its dark the light turns on so you can see. The main downside to the alarm is that the stand/hook for it is very cheap and can break easily.

Spoiler Alert: Must replace this every 7 years otherwise the Nest app reminds you over and over its not "working". I guess that's by law. Now my feedback -- What in the world is Nest doing. I brought this to replace a first gen Nest Protect. The 1st gen was awesome for us. The 2nd gen blah -- - The path light I just can't get the thing to work. The first gen I had worked flawlessly - The mounting is horrible. The plate is fine. Im talking about mounting the Nest protect to the plate. You clockwise screw it to the base plate. There is no brake or stop with tension. When it feels secure you let it go. So, you can actually keep screwing clockwise infinitely. I like the 1st gen, but the 2nd gen is like blah to me.

great smoke detector, also detects carbon monoxide and can also alert based on noise profile. i hope to never find out the full ability!
